So Florence's doorman was the one killing off the family in revenge for his wife being killed, but we still don't know who killed his wife. Or how he got his hands on mc's wallet and the item mc left in their grandfather's grave. Did he team up with his wife's killer (without knowing they were the killer, obvi), while planning to betray them later? 🤔

Good questions, but some of them were answered and also be answered again when MC get to face the doorman.

The doorman was at grandpa's funeral, he dig out that item MC throw in the grave and put it in Florence mouth.

Even wonder how the police got there so fast at Florence penthouse?

The doorman killed Florence, saw the message Flo send to MC and knew MC was coming. So planted the blades for MC to get cut, and Door man was with the police when they show up and found MC in aunt Flo's room.

That day MC's lost their wallet or bag. That's when Doorman grabbed it and go on to work for the other family members and start planting MC's evidence on the cousin scene.

As for uncle Rob, there is still doubt as to who killed him.

So to recap doorman killed most of the family members, tried to frame MC, and one of the family members are responsible for killing doorman's wife.

the inspiration for this game came from heartbreak.

it also came from a dream i had about a cowgirl and a sphinx and a body she had to bury over and over again that kept popping up along her journey. i originally was going to make this an honest-to-god video game but then i discovered IF.

okay, you said you enjoy some spoilers and leaks so I thought I would clear up the whole gender deal with the new characters: if you actually don't want to know any unofficial info or later chapters, then please feel free to ignore this, enjoy the game however you want <3. might be kind of long I wanted to fully summarize so you know where people are coming from.

the ONLY official information we have on the new characters is their silhouettes and the message about inclusion, implying that thirteen is either a woman or trans/nonbinary. some people have said that the japanese announcement calls them nonbinary, but I asked a friend who speaks it and they said it was more or less the same information as the english announcement, I don't know why they would only announce it there, I just can't vouch first-hand.

in terms of leaks, it's been suggested that the characters are mephistopheles, raphael, and the reaper. I'm inclined to say that cast is accurate given what I know about the game's character design but even that's not known for sure. presumably, the reaper would be Thirteen. Thirteen is a fandom nickname as they are 13th in the lineup, I've found no official information calling them that and am fairly sure I found the post that coined the nickname.

as for the reaper's gender, solomon and barbatos are the only ones who seems to have met them. solomon DOES use they/them pronouns but it seems to be more his typical avoidant/mysterious attitude than it is any commentary on the reaper themself. asmo also asks if the reaper is attractive in that same lesson, guessing their gender right after by trying both he and she pronouns. solomon doesn't bother to correct him, just says that he himself finds the reaper attractive.

barbatos talks about the reaper in a chat, and he too uses they/them pronouns, once. however, I also noticed that he specifically says "the reaper" every other time he refers to them, excluding the very start, so I think it might have been a "keep the gender a surprise" kind of thing.

it's still VERY much undetermined, though I personally think female is more likely, so I would suggest just using they/them for now (I'm personally using gender-neutral pronouns for all three new characters until identities or genders are confirmed!). and again, that's basically all of the relevant information so far, so there's no need to panic about them being antagonists/replacing MC, at least just yet, though I can't actually disprove it with anything but conjecture. I hope this helps, I'm sorry it's so long I didn't realize I had that much to share haha

All very interesting, thank you for letting me know! If they haven't decided a gender (or genders for all of them) yet, maybe they are trying to gauge the fandoms reaction to possible female or nonbinary characters to see if their is an uproar.

Because, as we have seen, some people might feel anxious about a female character joining at the moment, but a nonbinary female presenting character might make them feel less intimidated.

Idk, that is all business speculation brain, nothing official, just saying random thoughts. What do you think?
