What I want to know is what the hell happened during Spooks rain as emperor. I just feel like there's more there than the story initially lets on. Especially with Kelsier essentially working through Spook and him being known as "The Last Emperor".

Mark my words, something important went down. I'm hoping we get more answers in era 3, considering that also focuses more on the Ghostbloods side of the plot.

spook and vin with glasses my beloved. the two of them going their entire childhoods and teen years being like 'yeah i got great fuckin eyesight lmao' except the moment theyre both forced to stop constantly burning tin they are forced to learn that they Do Not in fact have Good Eyesight and instead they were just overusing tin to compensate for it the entire time

vin pretends to not notice and spook gets absolutely pissed abt it and stubbornly denies it as everyone else ribs him for it. what do you MEAN I have to have two stupid pieces of glass in front of my eyes in order to see clearly ????? fuck that !!! shouldve stayed a savant i dont care what you fucks say

eventually he gets sick of breeze and ham badgering him abt it and finally gives in and wears glasses, however he keeps it exclusively to while reading or writing(hes farsighted)

elend(who herself has had glasses for nearsightedness since she was young that her father forbade her from wearing in public) sits back and lets vin pretend she doesnt have fucked eyesight for like. a coupke months before snitching abt it to melaan who immediately corners vin and informs her that she has a kandra friend(whos probably one to two generations above melaan) that had to replace an optician and discovered that they LOVED making glasses and figuring out how to correct ppls vision but hasnt had much opportunity to practice it anymore(since kandra have no need for glasses outside of aesthetics) so CLEARLY vin needed to let her friend make her some glasses are you REALLY gonna disappoint them like this ???? theyve been dying to do this for years !!!

and vin gives in and gets like. a dozen fucking glasses bc melaans kandra friend was REALLY excited and she only wears them bc she likes making melaans friend happy and elend insists that theyre cute
