The knee that's down- pad it and don't drag it on the mat- you will hurt your knee. 🎥 1️⃣the first image is a fuller expression of the posture as it is on my body including #backbend 2️⃣ardhahanumanasana (half splits) propped with blocks. THIS is where to start on this pose with whatever height of blocks work in the moment. 🚨 Blocks to not imply weakness they provide SPACE and that is what you are looking for. 3️⃣splits with blocks- for the best and continued support in squaring the hips have blocks under each hand under the shoulders. This is the only way to truly learn to square the hips in my opinion. 4️⃣splits without blocks- this takes time.
