Alan is 23 and is so close to finishing his degree. A lot of people have tried to pursue him in his time in college but he’s always politely turned them down because he was adamant on not distracting himself.
Babe, who’s 22 and also in his final year, met Alan on the first day of class their first year and they’ve been best friends since. People always know that where there’s Alan, there’s babe.
In their third year Babe met Charlie, who was 19 at the time. Babe and Charlie began dating pretty quickly and are insufferably in love. Thus, the duo became a trio.
Charlie tends to talk a lot about his baby brother Jeff and makes time to go home to see him as often as he can. Babe has made the trip a few times but Alan has never been able to make it.
Jeff starts college when he’s 18, choosing to go to the same school as Charlie so they could live together.
On the day Jeff moves in, Alan and babe come by to help him and Charlie get settled in the new apartment.
They’re all sitting down to have dinner and Alan begins asking Jeff about his degree path/what he wants to do and he learns that Jeff is going for the same degree he’s finishing.
Alan immediately gets excited and they begin talking extensively about the things they’re interested in.
Before they leave Alan gives Jeff his number and says that if he needs anything he can always reach out and Alan will do his best to help.
Once the door closes Charlie is immediately on jeff, gushing about the fact that Alan hasn’t taken that much interest in anyone in the time he’s known him.
Jeff tries to brush him off but can’t hide the blush on his face. I mean…. He has eyes and Alan is attractive and nice. How could he not be flustered ??
Once classes start people immediately begin to notice that the trio has a new member and people assume that Alan has finally found someone
These rumors are only spurred on when Alan and Jeff quickly realize that a few of their classes are right next to each other so they tend to walk together when they’re going to meet up with Babe and Charlie.
Charlie gets sick one day so doesn’t go to class (Babe gives Jeff a ride to class but ends up ditching to go back to be with Charlie)
Jeff doesn’t realize this until he gets out of class and meets up with Alan who tells him that Babe texted him and asked Alan to drive Jeff home.
As they’re walking to the car jeff asks Alan about an assignment he got and Alan suggests they make a stop at a cafe so he can help and they can spend a bit of time studying together.
They spend a few hours together, working and quietly chatting before Alan drops jeff back at his and Charlie’s place.
Jeff leaves his notebook in Alan’s car and that’s what prompts Alan to finally text jeff, letting him know he’ll bring it to campus the next day.
Somehow that one text snowballs and they begin texting daily about anything and everything, just enjoying each others company.
They also begin to go to a cafe twice a week sans Charlie and Babe (this does not go unnoticed by either and they spend a lot of time theorizing about when the two are going to finally admit their feelings and get together)
Babe talks to Alan about it and he’s adamant that he just wants to help Jeff and just likes his company. Charlie’s conversation with Jeff goes much the same but he does get Jeff to admit he’s thought about it.
Half the year goes by like this and when Charlie and Jeff go home for the break between semesters Alan finds himself glued to his phone, texting Jeff whenever the boy is available.
Babe calls him out on this and Alan finally admits he has a crush on the boy but doesn’t want to over step (babe scoffs at this and tells Alan to just ask him out)
Alan spends the break in turmoil over what to do when Jeff gets back and doesn’t really have an answer.
Charlie and Jeff get back a few days before new classes begin and the four decide to get together for dinner again.
Alan thinks he’ll be fine but as soon as Jeff is standing in front of him he begins to panic. It’s one thing to admit to babe he has a crush on the boy, a whole other thing to see said boy in person after having this realization.
Babe and Charlie left to go to babes place and Jeff asks alan if he wanted to hang out for a bit before he headed home.
It’s all fine until alan tries to leave but just can’t get himself to, he doesn’t want to leave Jeff when they’ve spent so much time apart recently.
Jeff noticed Alan’s reluctance and smirks, asking if alan wants to crash at his place because Charlie’s not here and it’s already late
Alan quickly agrees and the two go back to the living room and begin having a movie marathon.
Jeff gets up to go to the bathroom but when he gets back he sits close enough to alan that their thighs are touching and boy does alan panic then (he’s turning red and hoping that Jeff doesn’t notice the way his breath hitched when he sat down)
Alan begins picking at his nails and Jeff rolls his eyes and just grabs Alan’s hand.
Alans head whips around and just stares at their intwined hands, mind racing as Jeff just continues watching the movie.
Jeff doesn’t let go and once the credits roll they’re just sitting there, neither wanting to break the silence or really knowing how to start the conversation.
Alan, gathering as much courage as he can, takes a deep breath and glances over at Jeff.
“Can…. Can we do this again?” He asks quietly and Jeff just giggles.
“What… the movie or holding my hand” jeff says, smiling at how nervous alan is
“Umm… I…. Both ? I Guess ?” Alan responds before the flood gates open and he spills all of his thoughts. About how he liked being with jeff and maybe possibly having a crush on him
Jeff let’s alan get his thoughts out, quietly watching as the man rants. Once alan is done jeff leans forward and kisses his cheek, “I like you too and… yes. We can absolutely do this again. Whenever you’d like”
When classes start up again people begin to realize that the rumors about alan finally dating someone might not just be a rumor anymore. Nothing really changes but there are soft kisses when they meet up outside of their classes and jeff occasionally shows up wearing Alan’s favorite shirts/hoodies.
Putting it out into the world more types of Pit Babe stories I want to see
So if you’re interested in writing any of them go for it:
Babe being in the right - he’s always portrayed as the bad guy in their relationship constantly blowing up and being mean - did people not see how he was when Charlie ‘died’?
Alan being more of the head alpha and making tough decisions
Sonic and North having more serious moments - I love the funny chaos but I want to see seriousness (not just Sonic becoming aware of Norths feelings) with them and other characters (e.g finding Babe having a panic attack and helping him even with their scents - like they figure out how to help without overwhelming Babes senses)
Dean being forgiven - he was pushed aside too much
Charlie and Jeff being in the wrong - I’ve had to stop reading a few stories bc they’re always written as ‘woe is me’ I haven’t done anything wrong characters even though they have f****d up as much as other characters through their lies and plans that no one else is a part of (they aren’t the only ones who grew up in the hands of Tony)
As soon as a story starts making Babe extremely unreasonable and angry I have to stop reading it especially when it’s then ‘poor Charlie look at how much bad stuff he has to deal with’
(I like the stories where both characters are flawed but now I would like to see stories showing Charlie and Jeff as “the bad guys” bc people only see them as innocent and more Babe being hurt by what Charlie does and people backing Babe up bc they understand his trust issues and trauma - like I hate the stories where Babe says 1 ‘bad’ thing and then Charlie leaves (Babe the guy who’s been abandoned before) instead of talking it out - how can people forget Babes trust issues and people walking out on him )
Way being reprimanded for what he did - manipulating for 10 years and then trying to assault Babe - like don’t just forgive him bc he was forced to do this by daddy dearest and switched sides in the end (it’s insane to me how often this is brushed over in stories - he traumatised Babe - imagine not being able to move while someone you cared about tries to assault you and force you to get pregnant??? And basically taking away Babes free will? He forced Babe to literally change his mind about things if it wasn’t what he wanted!!!) (I also get at the end Babe kind of forgave Way as he was dying but the trailer for season 2 clearly shows him having nightmares about Way)
I think you can tell what kind of mood I’m in with all of this 😅 and which characters I’m liking and which ones I’m annoyed with at the moment 😬
