maroon salestroll that has medical psi and sells prosthetics door to door, and also maybe removes legs from their customers to ensure sales. hella salty but acts very sweet, would probably pretend to be broke so someone else would take them on the date. has a really nice (head) rack.
razvan, stajak, klimen, lattie, and maybe dhazzy would all be interested! raz would admire her business acumen lmao, jak would like the ruthlessness and the veneer of sweetness, klim does prosthetics on the side and would be interested in what hers were like, lattie, much like jak, would like how she cut ppl’s legs off, and dhazzy has too much money and not enough friends or quadrants (that she can admit to having, at least.)
izzy+tink sketch plus crackship
hoodledoos of some of @anontrolls' trolls, w/ guest appearances by beamer, jak, and random pitfighting grubs

bronze for chiroh, violet for beamer, gold for stajak!
Bronze Potion: …the first and last person they’ve kissed.
the first person chiroh kissed was some grimy little brat on her flarping team when she was fiveish or so! the last one was probably dolios. they are terrible with the pda.
Violet Potion: …the obsession that’s going to lead to their downfall.
idk if it counts as an obsession, but. bea is smart, smart as hell, smart enough to run a fighting ring and keep control over trainers and fighters both, smart enough to be worth geegee’s time. but for all her smarts, for all her drive and intelligence, she’s still nine and relatively unexperienced and yet to hit an obstacle she can’t overcome. geegee is also smart, but she’s 2k sweeps old and has experience that beamer will never be able to catch up with, or overcome. so when bea goes behind her matesprit’s back to mack on the tall, bony, severus-snape-and-madam-pince lovechild that is dhazzy, geegee will find out, and when she does? the consequences will be devastating.
Gold Potion: …a skill they wish they had, and a skill they couldn’t care less about having.
jak wishes that she knew how to make quality disguises, horn caps and contacts that could hide the bright blank glow of her eyes. she doesn’t like to trust other people to make things for her, has been in her own treacherous company too long to think anything but the worst of people. 8′)
and i dunno if psionics count as a skill, but jak’s relationship with hers is complicated at best. she has no idea who she’d be without them, and is both scared and intrigued by the idea of being free of them.
Shadow for Killer, goal for Bea and Jak, and persona for Chiroh? (8
Shadow: If my character was allowed to act in the most selfish, destructive, immature way possible, what would they do? Is my character more likely to hide their negative traits, express them directly, project them into the real world, attempt to heal them, or just simply accept them?
if you take away all the rules that she relies on and put her in a position to do whatever nasty bullshit she wants, killer is probably just gonna curl up in a ball of terror and savage anyone who comes near until the world stops being wrong and bad and things make sense again. not real interesting, sorry. she’s honestly p timid. she’s rough, possessive, and prone to black and white thinking- and doesn’t have a good enough understanding of herself to do anything with that, be it project, heal, or accept. so her negative traits are directly expressed, just like her positive and neutral traits.
Goal: If my character were to choose one of these as their ultimate goal, what do I think they would choose? The choices are dominance, growth, and acceptance.
dominance. bea wants to be at the top, she wants to be notable. you don’t get there by being meek and rolling over whenever your conscience twinges, you get there by being cunning and willing to do whatever it takes and possessing something that no one else has. in bea’s case, it’s killer. killer makes her notable, killer makes her worth knowing, killer is tyrian and vicious and still lets bea lock her in a crate as if it’d do anything if she had a mind to get out, that’s interesting and speaks of a strength of character and a flavor of viciousness not often seen outside of a certain subset of helmstechs, or perhaps interrogarroters. it makes her valuable, dominating killer and the rest of the kids in the kennels and to some extent the handlers is just practice for later, when she ascends and goes into the big leagues and naively thinks that geegee (much older girlfriend, established crime boss) will support her endeavors. she’s smart and strong, she’s a winner, it will work out because she’s cruel and qualified and measures up and has nothing to do with luck no sirree bob luck is terrifying and not for her.
Goal: If my character were to choose one of these as their ultimate goal, what do I think they would choose? The choices are dominance, growth, and acceptance.
this is a hard one! i think imma have to go with ‘growth,’ just by process of elimination. jak’s spent her whole life viciously rejecting the idea of being a helm, has done a lot of really nasty shit to avoid that fate, so acceptance is right out. she’s not particularly interested in dominance, just in being able to walk under her own power and say what she likes and not star in her own personal tentacle hentai. she wants to grow into her new role as super chill hippie sufferist because it’ll make things easier, and they’re p decent people despite the utterly shithive maggots doctrine they spew. (she found a more signless-y subsect of the cult to chill w/)
Persona: What does my character’s mask look like? How do they want others to see them, and how far are they willing to go to uphold this act? Do they know of it’s existence, and do they willingly control it?
chiroh’s a lot more scared, uncertain, and naturally compromising than she lets on. part of that’s sharing a brain with dolios for 2.5-3 sweeps, part of that’s how she naturally is, none of it is appreciated. she’ll go pretty far to uphold the overly-aggressive persona- chiroh will happily kill to keep the mask on. she knows that it exists, and controls and plays it up to an extent, but cruelty is a rush and she’s desperate for any clearly defined sense of self she can get, which leads to her doing some stuff that’s a little beyond the pale, even in her books, just because she can’t fucking stop.
Pedestal, grave, futile. (8
anonymonster said to toomanydamnhelmsmen:
Gdi I forgot to specify. In order: Jak, Killer, Bea
stajak, pedestaljak has a nasty habit of putting people on pedestals, and it doesn’t take much to become her sun and stars. it takes equally little, however, to fall from the pedestal. there are many suns and many stars in the verse, and jak likes to sightsee, and she’s loving and supportive and concerned for her partner. only problem is she also cuts and runs like nobody’s business, and cutting and running can often be deadly for whoever’s involved with her, platonic relationship or no.
killer, gravekiller isn’t particularly fussed about dead bodies, which makes sense given her line of work, and the only proper grave she knows is the mass one out behind the kennels where the losers go. the fighting pit, however, is a sort of sacred space to her- it’s both the coming and going place, where fighters are made and ended. she respects the going-place, where she considers herself to have come from and expects to one day die in, and it’s about as close to the concept of a grave as she really understands.
beamer, futile
bea loves how hopeless the fighters look when killer walks into the ring, how defeated and small. they understand being put up against killer as failure in the worst sense, being so incredibly useless to bea and their handler that their only worth is playing bait dog to rile the crowd up before the real fighting. the futility of surviving killer weighs heavy, but the futility of redeeming themselves in the eyes of the people they’ve been carefully conditioned to love and look to for everything weighs even heavier. bea doesn’t love the look because she likes watching kids die, though she enjoys a good fight just as much as anyone else. bea loves it because it means that her training methods work, the way the kids submit to their fate unquestioningly further validation of her competence.
