Jimin fangroups have become the biggest

The acceleration is steady and if that is maintained, it will be hard for them to catch up. You see, armys are only threatened by the entire Jimin's fan group. You have never seen them go head-to-head in battle with other members' solo fans and they are struggling to put up a fight.
During the 2023 TMA, they wanted another member to win, so they pushed for that but Jimin fans buckled down and took the lead from the member and was against LYW who was known to have monster voters but also armys weren't happy so some stopped voting and others voted for the competitor. Still in the end, Jimin won TMA 2023. He became the first soloist to win the TMA Idol Plus Popularity Award.
Next was 2024 MAMA. Half of the members were nominated and one member was leading so they were pushing for that. But eventually Jimin took over the lead again, so they didn't have a choice but to push for him still many chose to vote for other members. In the end, Jimin won again. He became the first soloist to win a Daesang at MAMA in the past decade.
2025 SMA. The fandom decided to vote Jimin under a category that's not 100% fan-voted and where he has fewer chances of winning. But his fanbase pushed for SMA Korean Wave Award, it's 100% fanvoted. Jimin started at the bottom at first while the member the fandom chose was leading. Each day, Jimin's position went up until he placed second for a while and took over #1. He finished with more than 1 million votes, the highest across all SMA categories. Awarding is on June 21, 2025 (a week after his discharge).
2025 AMAs. Again, armys didn't choose to vote for Jimin. They chose another member. But that's not where this whole chaos lies. Big fake army accounts together with their recruited shippers, antis, vile solos, member akgaes all united to outvote him. Not only that, they also launched a smear campaign against him on all social media platforms. For every fan, true army, gp saying they will vote for Jimin - were bullied, attacked by armys. You can still see their posts, comments on TikTok, IG, X, Threads. They also tried very hard to take down his fan base and slandered them. They spread misinfo and lies everywhere, every day pre/post AMAs. They didn't want anyone to vote for Jimin despite being the member who is still charting on USA Spotify and holds many records in the US charts particularly Billboard. Jimin fans worked hard. Remember that fans were voting both for SMA and AMA at one time. SMA only ended 1 week before May 16 (end of voting for AMAs). Jimin was leading by miles the IG votes, polls, but the numbers for web voting were hidden. JM fbs distributed 300k+ accounts (excluding those used by individuals who made their own accounts, other fan voting groups). armys reported using 40k+ accounts. There isn't really a way to verify these numbers, but let's consider this: in major fanvoting where numbers are transparent, Jimin wins them. Also IG votes, Jimin won by miles. Polls, Jimin won most if not all.
This take will be biased, still I have no doubt Jimin won that category but what's done is done. I have moved on.
It between Jimin also received other awards, 2025 iHeartRadio- K-Pop Song of the Year "Who", 2024 MTV EMA Manchester Best K-Pop (fanvoted).
Let's not forget those times Jimin lost awards because as usual he was't prioritized by the fandom, for example MMA awards. This was exclusive to K-armys. The biggest K-army account (that was cancelled) known as Jimin anti excluded Jimin from the priority. Despite having enough points (sales, digitals), Jimin was excluded. He would have won too if he had gotten the votes. But that cancelled K-army account and Jimin anti, overlooked him.
What we learned so far during this entire AMAs voting was armys never fought for Jimin, with the exception of a few who rose and stood up but got called names, told solos, diets. armys never chose Jimin. armys want to crash Jimin's support base.
Remember that Jimin gave his group their first and only all-kill on iTunes Worldwide through "Filter". Jimin was always referenced in western/global media, personalities...
Many fake armys always say Jimin is the favorite. The truth is NO. Jimin is NOT the favorite. In fact, the reason why fake armys keep saying that is because they want others to stop supporting him. They gaslight others by saying Jimin receives a lot of support so that they can focus on and give more to their favorites. Again the truth is, all these supports come from his solo fans, not from armys or the company. From his own fan group. By the way, many armys and big FB accounts were exposed shippers. Not your ordinary shippers but vile ones. They hate Jimin so much they made him the villain of their made-up ship. It's the worse because they even harass his family. But armys tolerate it.
Jimin is not safe in the fandom. It is concerning. But the good news is he has a bigger, stronger, safer support now outside the fandom.
They may not be as loud as fake armys, but they are there. Jimin's fans are financially able and stable. You can see when they raise funds for his music, for his birthday projects, for charity works, for giveaways, and for many more projects. Recently, you can see their funded projects to welcome him back from MS.
Jimin fans are well-organized and worldwide. You see, members need to mostly rely on company's and fandom's support, especially one member. He received a support the same as the support given to the band. But Jimin did it mostly alone. Limited promo for FACE era (9 days), MUSE era (Jimin can't promote due to MS) and company only gave very minimal support which others received also. But among other members' albums, MUSE was made illegible in the UK because the company included a random item that greatly affected its chart position. Still MUSE, Who, Jimin set and broke records in the UK/charts.
If you compare how the company promoted members and their albums plus other activities, Jimin had the least. But still you know what, he broke records, he set records being the FIRST, the ONLY, the LONGEST… He did all that without much support from the company, without big western collaborations, without payola, without paid Apple music, Spotify playlistings, without TTH Spotify cover, without Spotify /Youtube ads, without radio push (others promoted in radios and ON TIME), Jimin's was delayed - after one month which aside from not promoted, not advertised like others, fans needed to request… Let me just add that I know a number of true armys still support Jimin and all other members. but that is always armys + solo fans. armys like to claim all the hard work but if you ask them to show receipts of streams, buying they will say many excuses.
Illustration that armys only complement the solo fans' efforts: sales, charts, streams are very different among the members. Sure, let's say factors like music genre, gps affect the result, but the difference in numbers shouldn't be too much. Check the sales, iTunes #1s, streams, chart positions of the members - there's huge difference. You also have to add up the tools and promotions the company provided for each of them.
Just to add some more, since FACE era, many big army accounts also try to chart group songs during Jimin releases. And guess what, group and members' numbers go up when he releases. BUT his numbers go down when other members release.
You may wonder why Jimin is still up there. Because he has a reliable, strong, organized, and big support group equaling armys.
I am not discounting the true Armys because I still see them, only they can't actively and loudly speak up because they will be called solos, diets, and be bullied if they show even a slight support for Jimin. armys always say support all 7 equally. That's a lie. They have favorites and if you have been around in their circles, it's 100% NOT Jimin. By the way, they are also very very very good at gaslighting. They are only loud and proud because that's the official fandom name. Don't be bothered though as even shippers, akgaes, diets, solos, antis openly call themselves armys. Many times it's proven they use shippers, akgaes, diets to disseminate misinfo.
Notice armys only have power because they take advantage of the herd practice - that is if you don't do what they like you to do you will be cast out. But that power in question is already declining because again, they are more interested now in shipping.
I am tired. It's been very toxic for me so I decided to leave. It was nice for a while because there was this sense of community. But it got too big. There were too many who were welcomed and tolerated that were not really armys. They were not there for music and original contents. If you point out to them, they will gaslight you into thinking it's normal or part of stanning.
I miss the old times when I can still enjoy the guys music and contents without reservations. bad apple armys ruined it for us. They over promoted shipping, disliking members, creating personalities for the guys, analyses that are very biased. Yes, some of my friends left also in 2024. Now I only want to make sure Jimin is still protected. I can't do it silently in the fandom that's why I was very happy to see his own fans grow outside the main fd.
I'm happy because Jimin has his own fans who focus on him. Please continue to be strong for him. I also know other members mistreated by the fd and their bias fans are also struggling in the fd. But like what I said, I am tired. I wish you the best and your favorites. I just want to use my energy now for Jimin.
