Reunion.
Thank you OFMD
Here's to hoping for a beautiful pirate marriage in S2.
It would be ridiculous and over the top in the best way, of course.
Buttons, a bird perched on each shoulder, solemnly pronounces that the sea shall officiate the ceremony.
Frenchie's playing his lute, although someone has to remind him that this is a wedding, and so maybe lyrics about death and bloodshed are a no-go today. Then, The Swede pipes up in ethereal song.
Ed and Stede would absolutely write their own vows, burst into tears halfway through, and end up hugging while the crew looks on and sniffles. Jim and Oluwande, Black Pete and Lucius, all mercifully reunited, hold hands.
And everybody cheers riotously when Stede and Ed finally collect themselves enough to finish their vows. When they kiss, Wee John sets off a barrage of fireworks/fires a cannon, and everybody thinks they're under attack for a frantic second before they realize it's just a celebratory explosion. Then, they all eat orange cake, and the newly married co-captains read their crew a story together before disappearing off to their quarters.
Is this likely? Probably not. But I can dream.
When your two main ships right now are Stede x Ed and Steve x Eddie and you get them mixed up when scrolling through your twt timeline and you get SO CONFUSED
don’t get me wrong, i love Izzy, he’s a pathetic lil bitch, but i’m looking for a blackbonnet fic where they bully Izzy off the ship, apparently it’s not very Izzy Friendly, but i really wanna check it out, can someone find it for me?

Ed/Stede | Rated E | 19,000 words
Stede's wife and children get kidnapped by a notoriously cruel pirate captain before he manages to chase Ed down and make things right. Fortunately, they both arrive to rescue his family on the same day.

It’s a fucking nightmare is what it is.
Stede Bonnet was supposed to be gone from his life. He was supposed to disappear for good. He was supposed to fade back into his beige-colored life and never darken Blackbeard’s again.
Stede Bonnet was certainly not supposed to fake his own death and return to the sea. He was not supposed to tail Ed’s ship for 3 months. And he was not supposed to get his wife and children kidnapped.
Ed was not supposed to go and rescue them himself.
And yet, here he was. Cutting through a crew three times the size of his own, even with his new recruits. They would probably be losing if it weren’t for the fact that half of the men jumped overboard to swim to shore when they saw Blackbeard’s symbol above a red flag, no quarter.
The fight helps him forget what he’s actually doing here – risking his life and his crew for the man who ruined him. So he leans into the chaos, chaos that he can track better than anyone, as he navigates the fight. Ed sends the man he is grappling over the railing with the rest of his cowardly crewmates. He quickly turns to slice through the back of a man’s knee who is crowding Fang against the mast. The man screams in agony and Fang takes the opportunity to stab the man in the gut and take him to the ground.
And then Ed feels more than hears someone behind him, a prickle up his spine that has saved his life a thousand times before. He turns and strikes and finds his sword parried. Blades crossed with Stede Bonnet.
Right.
Stede Bonnet was also not supposed to arrive at the same time as Ed to rescue his family.
