To all of the healers, protectors, nurturers, and empaths:
It's NOT your duty to help, save, or heal everyone. Some people just simply can't be helped or saved. Also, remember some people are getting the things that they dished out to others, back to them, meaning they're receiving and facing their consequences. That's something that they have to deal with on their own. 🤍
Welp!! Looks like the trauma he caused her came back round to haunt TF out of him in the form of karma 🤷‍♀️
It's always kill your local rapist, p*do, ab*ser until someone does it and the system punishes them 10-folddd!
Also, looks like the system punishes women for killing their abusers more than sentencing abusers.
These women are also violated AGAIN by staff. Sooo, things are bleak against the male supremacists.
the emotional impact of the you and me scene is that Louis is trying his best to be what Claudia needs him to be, to be her rock, to choose her and not regret it, to not let her down but the apparition of Lestat is a stark reminder of the ways louis has betrayed claudia again and again. the wagon scene works as a visual representation of the temptation that Lestat represents to louis, and how louis betrayed claudia multiple times from allowing lestat to abuse her, to not putting his foot down, to not letting her incinerate Lestat’s body. he is the enabler parent, and his enabling is his doom. very much on brand to when louis says at the end of s2 that being with lestat would’ve always happened, no matter what suit he would’ve wore or what other choices he would’ve taken. the wagon scene is about a parent facing his shortcomings and his enabling while having a child that distrusts them. louis convinces claudia that it will be different, only for her to realize that everything was still the same. he doesn’t have it in him to choose her because of his emotional irregulation, his guilt, etc
