My name is Zagreus Nyx, and I'm a mage. My gifts are mostly in the "storm" category, but my gifts extent to the rest of the natural world, and I'm rather attuned to spirits and minds as well.
I know we're in the age of AI, but the attached video is real. It was recorded April 10th, 2025, and only the beginning (Where I walked away from the camera, and messed up the first couple bolts from stage fright) and the end (Where I walked back to the camera and tripped over the Disney joke I was trying to set up with that cloud shape there) have been cut or changed whatsoever. No other editing has been done to this video; I was just messing around with a distant storm one evening as I enjoy doing to pass time, and decided to record myself for once, so. My phone was just lazily propped on a rusty folding chair.
That said, I'm not just coming here to make wild claims about magic being real, show you one grainy video, and then provide no further explanation while I vanish into the night. I'm actually here to find people anxious to disprove the above video, in a way. This is something I've been able to do since I was little, and while I understand it very well from the spiritual side of things, I've devoted a large portion of my life to trying to figure out how, on a scientific level, I am able to do the things I can do.
Should the science side of tumblr care to join me in this endeavor, I'd be delighted, as I want to run tests and find empirical data, figure out *exactly* what is going on. I just lack the education and equipment needed to do all that sort of thing, and would ADORE collaborating with others for the purpose of figuring out what in the world is going on with me and my weird abilities.
