This is Cory Bayberry! She is part of the Judge’s Investigators from a 5e DnD campaign run by @thekyuusanna​, with me, @vanadric​ , @phoenixpinksocks​ and @chartreuseeffigy​ as the players so far! I drew this as a reference for Art fight 2022. I am fairly sure I’ve posted the animation before though!

Cora "Cory" Bayberry, my stout halfling fighter. She's the muscle of the group called the Judge's Investigators who are essentially fantasy CSI (but they are more like fantasy Darkwing Duck.... we're literally nicknamed "Those Fools"—). Her entire existence is essentially to fight and break things. Cannot remember when she got the chef hat, but she has it now. Is absolutely the type of person who when asked to disarm will spend entirely too much time pulling out a ridiculous amount of weapons. Also much to her teammates' annoyance she has a bagpipe, somewhere. She may not be the brains of the bunch and he solution to things tends to be "F I G H T" but she does like making friends with new people and loves her teammates very much.

Madrigal Stillwater

Race: Stout Halfing Class: Druid (Circle of the Land) Background: Folk Hero Alignment: Neutral

Madrigal grew up on a farm, raised by her aunt and uncle after a flash flood killed her parents and she narrowly escaped a panther’s attack. She took every opportunity she could to escape into the woods surrounding their settlement, drawn to the wilds even after her harrowing experience. Her explorations worried and confused her adopted parents, and they did not understand her love of the trees, and the rest of the community feared the wilds.

It was here that Madrigal first learned her druidic powers, as she encountered again and again the panther. She grew to love and understand the natural world around her, accepting the tragedies the world sometimes held, such as the one that had killed her parents.

She decided to leave her farming community after her druidic powers were discovered. A bear wandered into the settlement and attacked a pair of children. Madrigal befriended the bear with a call of her voice, and sent it away. Then she cured the children of their wounds. The others in the settlement were fearful of the powers she displayed, and how she could have developed them. They were wary of her after that, and treated her with poorly hidden fear and suspicion. Madrigal decided to find her own way in the world, and packed what little she had to explore the world beyond the confines of her farming home.
