i was taking a shower and had a thought about jimmy and superhero au's
ok, so imagine your typical superhero au, right? basically, jimmy has powers, except instead of having bad luck, he causes the bad luck.
wherever he goes, something bad happens right after he leaves. for example, jimmy going to a cafe, ordering a drink, leaving, then 2 minutes later the baristas cant find any of the ingredients of jimmy's drink to serve other people. in more extreme cases, he goes for a walk in a park, goes home, suddenly theres a fire in the park and people get hurt. i like calling jimmy's power "bad omen" cause minecraft achivement and it honestly fits.
the hero(s) catch on to this pattern, (jimmy going somewhere, something bad happens after) and interrogate jimmy about it, thinking its on purpose and he's a villian or smth. turns out jimmy had no idea about his bad omen, and just thought he had really good luck this entire time. the hero(s) go "aw, shit, what do we do now?" cause jimmy's a hazard, but he also means no ill will. i got no idea what happens after but this is a basic synopsis.
i'm going absolutely insane over this so i'm gonna rant for a while. these are all jumbled thoughts i'm barely thinking straight whike wrtliting these i'm just trying to get my points across
okay so. we all know abt the reveal. i genuinely had no idea that would be the twist but looking back it makes so much sense. cabby and silver not remembering their parents in the exit interviews was them foreshadowing FROM THE BEGINNING., and you know how everyone in ii 1 was pretty one note? it's kind of (i repeat, KIND OF) the same in iii, where everyone has their "thing," until later in the season where they actually figure out who they are and who they want to be. speaking of who they want to be..
i'm 100% percent sure that the contestants have free will. mephone created the contestants with a basic personality, sure, but after mephone creates them i don't think he can edit anything. they make their own personalities and they choose who they interact with, therefore shaping themselves whether mephone likes it or not. take balloon. did mephone4 create balloon to be mean, or was balloon created like how he acts now? either way, mephone4 couldn't do anything about it. if balloon was created mean, it means that the objects mephone makes don't have to stick with what they're made to be. if balloon wasn't created mean, it still means the same thing. when contestants leave the show, it gives them room to figure out who they are- which is what happened with balloon. he realized he didn't want to act like that, so he worked towards changing.
