Does anyone that knows about quadrobics and quad suits/fursuit making in general help me out?
I want to make a suit for show and species validation but also have it still be practical and sturdy and light.
I have no idea if that's possible at all :(
EVERYONE EVERYONE TODAY IS A JOYOUS WONDERFUL DAY.
IF YOU HAVE EVER EVEN THOUGHT ABOUT MAKING A GODZILLA FAN COSTUME, THERES A FUCKING WEBSITE!!!!!
https://becominggodzilla.com/
Also of note, there’s a section that helps you build mecha Godzilla suits
„Look Out Lots Of Magnificent Gifts“ by The Ones Who Got Away contributions, round two! And this time it‘s a suit because when do I ever not make suits.
Hamid‘s colour palette is both a delight and a struggle to work with, but i actually really love the shade of purple (i swear it looks more purple in person) i ended up finding after seeing a similar one on the incredible Hamid designs by @psrj ! I‘m always a bit sad that suits looks slightly awkward on my mannequin, especially since the jacket is deliberately cut a bit weirdly to help a little with that halfling body shape, but I hope the fancy little guy wouldn’t mind ;)
Please check out the other incredible works of everyone involved in the TOWGA fan project!!
ID: Several photos of a sewing mannequin wearing a three piece suit over a white dress shirt, inspired by Hamid‘s character description. The waistcoat is the same burgundy purple colour as the trousers, has four welted pockets and a row of small brass buttons down the front. The dark green suit jacket has three a bigger version of the same buttons for closure and rounded lapels. The sleeves, lapels and the front bottom of the jacket are embroidered with swirly designs evocative of flames in shades of purple and gold. The background is a dark blue wall with stars painted on it. End ID.
ALSOALSOALSOALSO I just ordered some supplies to start working on my very first fursuit and im literally so excited bc its a suit for my main fursona Bottle, who i’ve been like daydreaming about a suit for literally since i designed him!!! He’s a behemoth drekkubus, so imma have to make some adjustments to the headbase i ordered to give room for his lil tusks, but im actually like vibrating with excitement and aaaaaaAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaa
Does anyone have advice for a first timer? Both in making the suit and actually wearing it around. I’m starting off with the head, then i’ll hit the tail and handpaws, and then im gonna tackle the bodysuit and feetpaws. One of the things i rlly wanna do for Bottle is make myself look bigger than i am in every way i can, so im gonna be designing/making digi stilts and stuffing a bunch of different parts of the body suit... Lots of work to put into my first suit so i need all the advice i can get!!!
