No matter how dull a day has been, at the end of the day you have a beautiful sunset waiting for you to make your day a whole lot better, to make you forget how your day has been, to make you cherish that moment, to make you learn at the end something really beautiful awaits for you, always. This photo was taken in Milan and I'm posting it because I like it and because I'm working on some emotional parts of my book. My grandparents have just been evacuated to Tashkent and now have to make a life for themselves. I imagine that many of those days were mostly about getting through another day. I call those the filler parts of life. I had minor surgery earlier this week and I have to say that I'm kind of happy about having to wear a mask everywhere because going out with a swollen, bruised cheek and a black eye is not fun. To be fair I haven't actually gone anywhere interesting or seen anyone I know but being able to hide is kind of a nice thing right now. This photo was taken last year.
