New WIP, the “birth” of one of my eldritch gods (the ‘nicer’ one of the problematic two)
I really kinda need to start over and plan the whole composition better, I wa just winging it and am really not surprised that I’m dissatisfied. Also drawing snakey heads with open mouths has always been hard for me so I’m (not) looking forward to working on that!
But I’m pretty happy with the overall idea even based on this relatively poorly executed version. With a bit of planning I think I can really make something cool.
Lore Tidbit:
Leopold was created and raised by Thaddeus, for Teddy’s amusement and nothing more. The only reason Leopold still exists is because Thaddeus managed to create something he couldn’t destroy, though certainly not for lack of trying.
Many of Leopold’s problems both internal and those that affect others, especially mortals, stem from his upbringing, or lack thereof.
There’s no way that spending several millennia being toyed with and literally tortured isn’t gonna leave some kind of scars, even on an eldritch god.
A rather visceral horror game about an office security guard and his building that got hit with some unreality or whatever and now *he’s trapped in a nightmarish warped version of the office with things like flesh pits and moving shadows and scrap metal jutting out in clusters and maybe weird crystals and definitely something else in here with him, even though he was the only person on site for the night guard duty.
*gender not specific he is just a shorter word. Idk if you’d be able to play as man, woman, or nonbinary person or if it would be just one probably never mentioned gender with a neutral name to match.
Goal of the game would be to leave the building alive despite not knowing if you can go home, or leave at all for that matter. Can’t see outside bc either the windows got painted black or it’s too dark out, or there’s literally nothing.
Not sure how it would end. Whatever is stalking you is not friendly, but necessarily malicious either, in that predators don’t (generally) enjoy making their meals suffer, they just need/want to eat sorta way.
Possible title idea: reality shift (bc he’s on the night shift, and reality just, changes)
I reserve the right to have this game/idea be a game that exists in my fictional worlds.
Other than that I hold no claim over the rights to its production. Take inspiration or the whole idea and run with it if you feel so inclined. I do not claim any rights legal or monetary to this idea other than the above statement.
As everyone knows the best time to finally have the motivation+/inspiration to do art is always when your mom has gotten home and has (well deserved) dibs on her ipad of course
anyways here is what I made in FireAlpaca with my mouse: "Chosen / Cursed / Second Chance"
That vent meme comic I drew the other day seems to have opened the floodgates of my art block hats lasted months.
Thanks to this Indoraptor base by CarnivorousRuse on DeviantArt and 4hours 22minutes spent nose to the grind stone, my baby Goku/Gocu has a (mostly) homemade reference for his Dino form!!
It’s a bit too scaly and not feathered enough, but I have a second base that’s too feathery that will balance things out.
Without further ado, the sentient cube turned human turned fictional dinosaur , Goku!!
Look at himmmmm, my sonnnnnn
He’s so gosh darn cute and looks so cool!!
You can read a bit about him in the “Gocu” tag, there’s not a lot but enough I ain’t gonna transcribe it here.

And holy shit. When he played the scene where the adventure time litch says killing everything left him empty, I literally shivered. Delicious.
Anyway, it all has me thinking. Like Father from fma(b) my biggest/worst villain manages to be terrible on a scale well beyond human comprehension (intentionally) and also a very personal evil that directly plays with characters that I intend readers to love, thus (less intentionally) also being the cold calculating uncaring evil that manipulates and destroys on a small scale close to home, even doing so subtly.
And he has a broken family dynamic too!!! I don’t have Teddy’s whole backstory planned but now I’m thinking I’ll combine him with another Eldritch oc, which will just be his younger far weaker self. I say weaker but Maverick is still a planet destroying calamity level villain. But compared to his later multiversal destruction levels of power, he’s practically nothing. But I know Mav kills and eats his parent and hunts his brother, though idk if he’s successful in that or not. And Teddy has a child of his own, Leopold, who he created and tortured for his own amusement.
As crazy powerful as Thaddeus is, he is somehow not all powerful. He cannot destroy or meaningfully kill Leopold. A fact which irks him greatly and has him on a dual quest to gain the power to kill his son and to distract himself from this weakness.
Teddy plays games with mortals quite frequently, giving them a chance to beat him, outright or in some game of their choosing, in order to spare themselves or their world from his twisted fun. None manage to succeed because Leopold’s continued existence is the closest any being has come to beating Thaddeus in quintillions of years. And that’s a far cry from victory, but how can you defeat that which can create and destroy entire universes on a whim, with hardly more effort than lifting a finger?
And thinking through all of that got me thinking, what if this closely connected part of the multiverse that contains the majority of my favorite and often focused on characters, I’d all his doing?
I’ve had Leopold be a sort of writer insert, messing things up so there’s interesting events to enjoy seeing the heroes solve, or just to make them suffer. So why not do the same with that which created him?
This would include everything from Aluyerudi/awdi, Suradane, the Norian Labrinth/Old Noria, Mandara, Endless and Endless 2, to lesser used worlds like Kounia and Origin.
Specifically on the cryptid species of Long Furby(ies) as they exist in Suradane.
I’m totally normal about them and they definitely aren’t somehow cozy and horrific at the same time.
Im going to copy paste the stuff I’ve got down in a google doc below the cut
Long Furbies are a species of Cryptid in Suradane. They eat, sleep and procreate much like any other species.
They can have any of the colors and patterns of the toy Furbies.
They can remain “retracted” in a form almost indistinguishable from a regular toy furby for long periods of time. They can be awake or hibernating for months in this form. It is not unheard of for someone to find what they think is a toy furby and take it home for some time before it awakens and shows its true form again.
Long Furbies have several documented recurring body types;
“Caterpillar”/“Centipede”: has many short/small pairs of legs; sometimes with paws like on the toy, spaced relatively evenly along its length. The neck between the foremost pair of legs and the head is short, roughly the same as the distance between each pair of legs.
“Beast”: has four (4) to eight (8) somewhat cat-like limbs at the ends of its length. If there are six legs usually four are in front and two in back. They can have long necks between the forelegs and head, but this is not more than a quarter (¼) the total body length.
“Spider”: has many bug-like legs not far back from the head. Neck is usually between the length of the other two forms. They may have two to four (2-4) bug-like legs in the middle of its body, and one (1) pair of legs at the rear.
“Worm”/“Snake”: no legs. Even the assumed feet visible on the furby toy form disappear when these ones take their long form.
“(Long) Toy”*: retains the hind legs from the toy from, may or may not have a similar set somewhere between its middle and head.
*considering non living Toy Furbies are called such, there should be a better name for this form. If you have serious ideas please submit them.
These are not the only body types Long Furbies have been seen with, but these descriptions cover the most common ones.
Long Furbies can stretch out to ridiculous lengths. Some have claimed to see them reach up to 7 meters, but the longest documented case was under 4m. The spine of a Long Furby continuously grows more and more vertebrae in order to lengthen. However, their flesh does not grow as much and instead stretches and relocates. Therefore they sometimes get skeletal in the middle, with a few sinews and maybe an intestine wrapped around the spine. Most of this realistic anatomy is nowhere to be found when known LFs are put through scans such as MRIs and C-rays. Instead they appear almost the same as a known toy furby does under such scans. As of this documentation we have not successfully scanned a Long Furby in the stretched form.
so I've got this thing called the IdE in my multiverse. the Interdimensional Emporium is a shopping district that connects to many universes at once. it features a variety of shops and even a small park and "town" square with a fountain! there are plenty of benches around for people to rest in. (Strictly No motor vehicles, even bikes are frowned upon heavily)
And! I made a "proof" of concept map that obeys no scale rules at all in google slides bc why not:
this is most certainly not the final layout of the IdE, just like a basic conceptual visualizer.
