also thinking about the tragedy that is the way anakin, buried under years of vader, is still just a child seeking approval and respect.

by the time we reach anh, vader hasn’t (visibly) thought about obi wan in years. why, when he was so utterly obsessed just nine years prior?

because all anakin has ever wanted was to be respected, his actions and especially his character approved of. and the second the emperor questions his ability, his worth, due to his obsession with obi wan, anakin simply drops it. just like that. because palpatine is threatening to withdraw his respect and approval and vader, anakin, will do anything to keep it.

palpatine saw anakin’s weak spot, the one thing he wasn’t getting enough of from the jedi, and he exploited it from day one. and anakin never stood a chance. because at the end of the day, he’s still just a 9 year old boy wanting to be treated like someone with value and worth.

I don’t really ever mind SW filler episodes/side adventures, but this really was one last attempt to highlight Crosshair’s absence right before their final confrontation, right? Like the whole show has been about TBB not helping people and Omega being their moral compass. No surprise that that’s the final message they want to send us before the final arc.

You know, 'Andor' isn't exactly the star wars series i'm looking forward too the most. But a thing that does really excite me is them possibly exploring a bunch of (ex)seperatist factions/characters joining/turning into rebel cells.

It would make sense and it's a faction which could be explored in much more detail, especially from a civilian perspective.

It could further elaborate on the 'heroes on both sides' thingy from rots opening crawl which the clone wars only planted seeds for and would bring some diversity (of aliens and cultures) to the show, which is something they do seem to be going for.

Besides, i remember reading somewhere that cassian was a child(soldier) on a world allied with the seperatists during the clone wars. So at the very least they will have to adress the idea

My understanding is that this series is coming to Disney’s planned new streaming service, but admittedly I haven’t been keeping my eyes as closely on the info about this lately.
