An alter (headmate/system member/etc.) who's role is to adapt. The situations one must adapt to are not specific and can vary from system to system.
This role is up to interpretation, however, some of the things this alters may experience are:
A lack of stability or permanence in identity
Exclusively fluid identities (like genderfluid or abrosexual)
Sudden and/or extreme changes in opinions or perception
The feeling of being a subsystem made up of the different adapted versions that are taken to adapt (whether true or not)
This was coined with Dexter (it/its) in mind, but anyone can use this term.
