Intraject

This term was requested by a person in a discord server I’m in!

Similar to introject, an intraject is an alter whose sense of self and identity is a “clone” or different version of another alter in the same system.

This name is a bit of a misnomer and so more nuanced differences between introjects and intrajects below.

Examples of how this could present are:

-An alter being split into two or more new alters with more than alters identifying with the pre-split alter. (This of course includes splits that are more 90-10% rather than 50-50% in how elaborated they are, and so one alter might seem like less of a new alter than the other.)

-An alter that is often co-conscious/fronting with another alter and picks up their traits and a similar sense of self. They might lack awareness that some of their emotions/thoughts/behaviors are being highly influenced by other alter/alters.

-Multiple current or past hosts/frequent fronters who all identify with the body and shared name the people in their outside life call them and so develop to be similar in basic self concept.

-Alters that appear to be different ages of a shared general identity.

-Systems with less differentiated alters, often relate to less extreme forms of amnesia (like black outs) and greater amounts of memory sharing but not always. These systems that have many alters that seem like different versions of one identity are more likely to present in OSDD-1 systems but can be seen in other CDD systems.

-An alter forms as a clone of another alter that has since split, fused, or gone dormant. This concept is more similar to the traditional introject and since I have never seen this yet, is a hypothetical for me right now.

Intrajects may be more common in variant subsystems. More below.

It’s very very important to not think of intrajects as directly similar to introjects. While both involve alters that are similar and take on the identity of a different “being”, they have many differences.

Intrajects are not often (from what I have seen) alters that form to take on the beneficial traits from a “source alter” within the same system. They are often more likely to function as less differentiated alters that are both equally their “source” and that either split off from each other or have enough memory sharing in other ways to identify with each other's experiences and identities. In most cases, if one claimed one intraject to be the true “source” of another, like with a fictional character being the source character of a fictive, it wouldn’t really express the mechanics of most intrajects correctly.

For example, an intraject’s memories, even if carried out by another alter who was co-conscious/fronting or the alter they split off from, those are not source/pseudo memories (unless this alter has genuine adulterated/pseudo memories which the former isn't rare for even non intro/intraject alters or even singlets), those their *their* memories as much as they are any other alter’s memories. (While all systems have the right to determine their own treatment goals and preferred terminology, and it’s important this right is encouraged, if any form of fusion/non fusion integration is wanted, it’s often beneficial to progress towards viewing outer experiences and memories as collective even if stored more in certain alters than others.)

Just like with introjects it must be noted, intrajects can have different ages, beliefs, emotions, abilities, and so on. The main determinant is often being very similar, most often is relation to how intrajects view another intrajects general self concept, “body” and name as also “theirs”.

MATRYOSHKA SYSTEM .

A matryoshka system is a system with 'rings' or 'layers' because different members have different levels of consciousness, and different layers affect the others in different ways.

There is at minimum two layers/rings, but usually three. There is no limit to how many layers a system can have.

The outer layer[s] contain a sort of fragment that does not have a full identity, but the shards of their identity they do have radiate inwards and imbue members in the inner layers with traits that they know do not come from them. Typically, the outer layer has multiple members, and them switching will change what traits affect the inner members.

The middle layer[s] contain a sort of fragment that hardly has any identity, and most or all of their identity is based on the radiated traits of the members of the outer layer[s].

The innermost layer[s] contain fully formed alters [/members/parts/ etc] who have an identity of their own, but may still be affected by the radiation of identity from the outermost layers. This can lead to traits that completely contrast other parts of their identities, even in ways that may be unwelcome.

Different combinations of layers will lead to a different looking/feeling 'doll' [system]. Any one of the layers can be missing. Any one of the layers can contain multiple sublayers that behave differently.

ANYONE CAN USE THIS TERM. OP IS A RADQUEER AND MIXED ORIGIN, BUT ANTIS ARE ENCOURAGED TO USE THIS TERM IF THEY FEEL IT DESCRIBES THEM.

THERE IS NO WRONG WAY TO USE THIS TERM.

An alter/part/headmate who is static, or body is static, yet mimics a human. It's in a way that is unrelated to CRTs, rather just being void. This is more for nonhuman staticiessers who wish to be human, but not exclusively.

This can be due to their source, role, or simply having just been formed that way.

This term and flag is heavily anti endo. While I can't choose who uses my flags or terms, I do NOT consent to being uploaded to any pro endo archive / resource without permission, and would prefer if endogenics do not use this.

Didn't coin these terms, just found them on pluralpedia with no flags but a template so I fixed up the template a little and made flags for em

DROP - is an alter/headmate without a developed identity, personality or autonomy. They usually have reduced self-awareness and reasoning. They can form in any way other headmates can, and may fall from other headmates like raindrops fall from clouds. If they collect together like puddles, they can form a headmate with more capabilities, they can also be absorbed into an existing headmate. [Basically an alt term for fragment]

SUBTERMS :

BLOODDROP - a persecutor, prosecutor or otherwise harmful drop, they may hold 'tasks' related to self-harm, eating disorders and addiction. They usually do not consciously intend to do so as they are not fully, or an all, aware of their actions or consequences

MILKDROP - a little or very young drop

TEARDROP - a drop which holds trauma, pain and other hurt. If a teardrop is also another kind of drop, they may hold trauma or pain related to that thing. A Inkdrop who is a teardrop may hold trauma from school, a Coughdrop who is also a teardrop may hold medical trauma or pain from injuries, illness and disability

OILDROP - a drop which finds it hard or impossible to pool with other drops to form a puddle, and is repelled by other headmates

SYRUPDROP - a drop which spreads or holds joy and other positive emotions

TEADROP - a drop which preforms tasks relating to drinking

JUICEDROP - a drop which preforms tasks relating to eating

SHOWERDROP - a drop which preforms hygiene-related tasks

INKDROP - a drop which preforms school, work or admin tasks
