System X - Got To Believe (1994)
Ugh we have always wanted to make a youtube since youtubers became a thing. And now with everything happening in the world and the DID community, and with us self-isolating, it would be such a great time... except for the fact that we could only record on our phone. And X is very much a perfectionist and has always wanted to at least have a good video camera and microphone before we started but we don’t have the financial means for that rn. So its just been a constant battle of just do it with crappy quality but plenty of time to devote to it, or wait for the good quality equipment but possibly no long have the time or energy to produce anything. I don’t know we’ll probably put it off forever aghhh
We did a thing
We’re trying to get more organized and actually try to function healthily and cohesively as a system. We finally set up a system journal and we bought hair bands to use as fronting indicators! We’re all excited and hoping that this will help us and X’s fiancé be more aware of who’s out and what’s happening. These probably seem like really small easy things but it’s a big step for us! Now we just have to follow through and actually use them! Wish us luck (:

hi, do you think it’s possible for an alter to exist for another alter that’s not the host? I mean, I have this really angry alter X who’s constantly just angry and basically a ticking bomb, and then there’s alter Y who’s quiet and only makes himself shown/felt in the headspace when there’s a need to stop or calm X. That’s at least what I know/feel. Is it possible?
I think it’s definitely possible for an alter to be there to help a misled alter but then I would assume that would benefit the whole system in turn. If X is angry and destructive (while in their own way they could be trying to protect the host or the system), then they could harm the system so Y could be there to counteract that. Then if X ever begins to handle things better and becomes more well-adjusted, Y’s purpose could grow or shift, or a ton of other stuff might happen. I couldn’t know for sure of course. But yea, Y just seems like a soother.
