Went on a Sammon run...

Which probably wasn't the smartest idea, what with the winter depresh hitting me hard these past few weeks. But I decided to put on Manner of Death last weekend, for some odd reason, and I'm so glad I did.

Binged MOD in two days and absolutely loved it! Kept me guessing almost the entire time, so many twists and turns. Love a good murder mystery and this was a great one. It's been on my list for awhile, so glad I finally checked it out. MaxTul were fantastic in it!

And Bonus, spotted Great Sapol out in the wild:

Decided to look for something similar, to MOD, to watch this weekend and landed on Spare Me Your Mercy. Didn't even realize it was Sammon, until I was a couple episodes in. Not my favorite, story-wise, but still an interesting watch. I really did enjoy Tor in this, may need to watch more with him.

And another bonus sighting... Fresh Arisara! Felt like I was collecting the Cat for Cash gang. First Dr. Pom and then Je Meow!

And since I was already deep into Sammon, I put on 4 minutes... damn that was a trip. Figured out what was going on pretty early, but it still was quite the ride. Really enjoyed it. Loved the JesBible pairing too.

I almost jumped into KinnPorsche, which has also been on my list for awhile, after I finished this because I wanted more Bible. But I figured it would probably be a good time to lighten things up. So I went a totally different direction. Not even sure how I landed on this one... but Be My Favorite was soooo cute, funny, emotional at times and it made you think too. It was so much more than the fluff piece I thought it was gonna be. Also really enjoyed GawinKrist as a pairing in this.

This was actually my first Krist encounter and I thought he was so great in it. I know he's from SOTUS, which is like the OG Thai BL, but I have yet to watch it. Gonna bump it up on my list though. Looking forward to KristSingto's new series in the 2026 lineup, Write You Again, even more now.

decided to start rewatching manner of death. it’s been so long since the last time but just the sight of the men i know are involved in the whole trafficking ring makes me nauseous.

but since it’s been so long there’s too much i cant remember like i don’t remember how the show ended and its frustrating me so bad. i only remember the characters. i’m impatient already

Oyei & Cher: "These two are basically married already, but couldn't legally marry, until now! The proposal includes the news about the legalization of gay marriage in Thailand, this is just days after it actually occurred. So this proposal gets to take first prize on a marriage proposal set in a timeline where the marriage will be legal."

Tan & Bun: "this proposal is insane and not something anyone with any sense would ever do and it's the only reasonable way that these two would ever do a proposal. this is coming from the couple who said I love you for the first time in the middle of faking their deaths. part of tan's plan hinged on the fact that bun would find his location using the one way tracker he installed on his phone back when he still suspected tan of murdering his friend from childhood. it involved their adopted teenagers chasing them with guns. bun did not hestitate to say yes. if tan proposed in a slightly less insane way I think bun would have been a bit disappointed."

One thing I find fun with these BLs is that when they put two actors together repeatedly as lovers in different roles, it can still yield different results. That's not necessarily true for Hollywood. You put Hanks/Ryan, Spencer/Tracy, or Gere/Roberts together, and you pretty much know what kind of dynamic you get. Even if the couples have different names and circumstances, they still feel more or less the same.

But PhuTian aren't JimWen. AlanGaipa aren't AkkAye. TanBun definitely aren't KornKnock. And even though I haven't seen MSP, I don't have to recognize the scene to know when a gifset is HeartLiming or TinnGun. The characters are different enough that the entire romantic vibe changes.
