I still need to flesh him out, but I have rough ideas based on what I remember.
Basic ideas are, the Baron is established to be incredibly wealthy, owning not only his mansion in Vardaros, but another in Corona (and who knows where else). So I have the idea of him being actual nobility, either by birth or by earning the title, and using that to get away with a ton. Maybe even having a front with other nobility, leading them to believe he's incredibly charitable for giving street kids and orphans opportunities they would never otherwise have (without knowing what those "opportunities" actually are).
With Eugene specifically, I imagine he and Lance were under the Baron after a few years of already thieving, the Baron sending them on missions bigger than the pickpocketing and stealing food they likely started out with.
Regarding the crown job, I'm currently thinking, rather than the Baron giving the job directly, it was how Eugene planned to pay off his debts to the Baron, especially after the whole ordeal with Stalyan.
And my overall plans for the Baron, I want to utilize him more after his introduction, rather than have him show up twice in the entire series. For being such a big name in Eugene’s history, I forget he exists half the time.
Arianna may lose to her sister on a great many things—more than she cares to admit, really—but eating contests, embarrassingly enough, she’s always won. How much, how fast, the quantity of food in one’s mouth without swallowing...it’s very embarrassing and terribly unladylike and just a bit wasteful, but Willow just can’t stomach a few things.
Undisputed champion.
That is, until the day the two teenagers invite a shy Friedborg to join them at one of their contests, and she apparently dislocates her jaw to swallow a cabbage whole.
“How...how did you do that?” gasps Arianna, as Willow cheers.
Friedborg always smiles. Now, though, the smile looks distinctly smug.
I’m sure you’ll get the hang of it someday, My Lady, she says, placatingly.
Arianna’s too amazed to care that she lost.
(And also, to be frank, too happy that their friend finally has enough confidence to tease her.)
107. Tumble
It takes Flynn less than ten minutes to realize he’s attracted to her.
It takes another month before he learns that she’s attracted to him too.
They fall together, he and Stalyan. Down into the world of crime, down Sisyphus’ long hill to the boulders at the bottom, down from the high cliffs of Vardaros as they chase each other across the rooftops. Down until they come to the dark of the woods of Wezelton, where they have their first kiss in the moonlight, her red hair tousled and all over the place and beautiful. Down through theft after theft, arguments and fights, more kisses and making up. (They’re good at making up and better at fighting and even better at thievery.)
Flynn wonders, in free-fall, if he wants to spend the rest of his life with this woman. But oddly enough it’s Eugene who lands and looks up and realizes that it’s not something that he can do.
Eugene Fitzherbert loves Stalyan. But Stalyan doesn’t even really know that name, and only loves Flynn Rider. And Flynn Rider only loves himself.
108. Crash
Waves rush against the shore along the Sea of Night. Cassandra, drunk on power and trying not to scream from pain, responds in kind. Black Rocks sprout from the earth and charge at the water, blocking it, making it dash and burst against them.
It feels good.
A distraction. That’s all.
Far from home, under a sky where the stars have never been more numerous and never been further away. One living being on the shores of the Dark Kingdom, staring into the void and fighting back.
And she hurts. She’s alone with herself and alone with the Moon, and she hurts. She’s fallen so far. Moonlight burns and freezes at once.
But she won’t break.
She won’t give her enemies the satisfaction.
(But why are they her enemies, when before they were her family?)
109. Causal
Ulla is an alchemist. She does experiments and uses what she observes in her analyses. And she’s particularly good at piecing together disparate pieces of information.
Quirin is a knight. He believes in what he does, and in what he sees. And he has a knack for finding links in logic based on what he does see.
It’s hard to say who’s more surprised by the first kiss.
110. Unchanging
“Back in the Tower,” says Rapunzel, quietly, “I used to imagine the ravine outside was somewhere else. Anywhere else. That I could stay in the Tower and see the world, so I’d be happy and M—Goth—she’d be happy too.”
Eugene just nods. “How about now?”
Rapunzel looks around from the top of the Caravan, at the sleeping horses and the campfire and her friends and loved ones asleep beneath them. The landscape reshapes itself more now every day than she’d ever imagined it could. Everything so different, everything remaining the same.
“I’m happy,” she says. “...are you happy?”
He smiles. “We’ve got a world to see, and you make seeing it so much brighter. I’m happy too.”
Good, thinks Rapunzel, snuggling close. That’s important. So important.
(And that’s never going to change.)
111. Level
“You did well,” says that soft voice.
For some reason, all Kiera can look at is the stone floor. Perfectly flat, perfectly smooth. Any imperfections hidden away.
Her best friend is staring straight ahead.
“This was a difficult task,” the voice continues. “But you both succeeded, more quickly than even the great Flynn Rider would,” and there’s a very slight dip in the emotions, a footnote promising something terrible for the man. Being razed to the ground, perhaps. Kiera wouldn’t want to be in that chump’s shoes.
“And I will have a new assignment for you shortly. You’ve obtained a new rank in my organization. You’ve become much more important to me, girls. I hope you’re proud of that.”
We’ve got to get away. Far away. Maybe Arendelle, or Inkasuyu.
If he finds out about the treasure we kept for ourselves, we’re doomed.
The Baron smiles with his mouth. His eyes show no change.
112. Computing
“Still tinkering with that mouse?” asks Donella, and Hugo’s sure she’s rolling her eyes.
He doesn’t even look up.
Olivia’s not quite finished yet, not quite ready. She never is. But she will be. At thirteen years old, Hugo has long given up on making real friends among humans, and animals don’t come near him or Donella. But he has Olivia.
It’s difficult to quantify just how important it is, that he has Olivia.
One final screw in place, one more crystalline clockwork array stuffed into his girl. One more calculated addition.
The automaton turns her head from side to side, and blinks, and turns to focus directly on her maker. Looks him directly in the eye, turns her head when he moves from side to side. Independent motor control.
“Yes,” says Hugo, softly. It’s as much a cheer as it is an answer.
Donella scoffs, but makes no further comment.
113. Fun
“We’ve got our own stuff we like to do,” says Vex. “You Coronans wouldn’t understand. Too happy-go-lucky.”
Cassandra grins.
”Try me.”
114. Pupil
Calliope knows there are better students the Keeper could have chosen. She’ll never admit it, but she knows it. But she was chosen. He chose her. So she’ll use smoke and slight of hand to fake it until she makes it.
She doesn’t really register the fond look in the Keeper’s eyes as she discovers a genuine love of the knowledge she is to be entrusted with. She’s got to focus. Calliope will be his apprentice.
She’ll have to learn that being Keeper means more than being Keeper—it means keeping what is within. Knowing who she is and not caring. Not caring for others’ opinions or waiting for their applause. Accepting she can be wrong, and not worrying what anyone else thinks. (Because just now she can’t be wrong, she can’t, or she’ll have to go away again.)
She’ll learn.
She’ll make it.
115. Departure
“You’re not staying?”
“Come on, Dad. You’ll be fine now. The scars are barely noticeable.”
“Didn’t I teach you how to lie better than that?”
“Dad...there’s a time for vengeance and a time for revenge. Right now, it’s a time for vengeance. Best served fresh from the icebox.”
“Ah, your mother used to say that a lot.”
“Still does. You should visit sometime.”
“No, I...I don’t think I can. Not looking like this. She deserves better than that.”
“Think about it. It’s been a while. And she really wouldn’t mind.”
“Off you go, already. Come by one of the hideouts once in a while. Oh, and you have my blessing to cheat, swindle, and hideously mutilate anyone you want, Treasure. Got to keep up our reputation.”
“Love you too, Dad.”
And off Stalyan goes.
116. Leader
“They listen to you, Hamuel,” says Edmund—or is he thinking it? “The other ravens. How do they know to listen to you?”
What we see,
You and me,
Willingly
They will not see.
Fight while free,
Maybe flee,
Turn to me
For honesty.
World to see,
Son to free,
Joy and glee
They want to be.
Friends for me.
For them, I see.
“...fair enough.”
117. Fortune
Vigor barely looks at anything straight, but what does that matter when Sybille can hear his song? Every silent word fills her mind with knowledge and truth. And a promise. There’s a future there. Her future. A future where they meet with kings and princesses, priests and pharaohs. Where she is Vigor’s companion, his friend.
He knows what is and what will be. And he wants her to see it with him.
At fifteen, she finally knows her destiny.
Her family doesn’t approve. We’re barely tolerated as is, they tell her. Nobody trusts the Twilight People. Don’t make it harder for yourself. And pretence at prophecy? How can a monkey know what the Moon himself and the stars in the heavens dictate for the future? Get rid of him. No more of this nonsense.
So Sybille runs away.
Madame Canardist has many regrets. But Vigor and his song that reaches across time and space and fills her with hope—Vigor, her friend as much as she is his companion—he makes it worthwhile.
(The money helps too.)
118. Patrol
Flynn’s calling-card is his audacity. He may hide for a while, in disguise or in the shadows, but he has to make some show of who he is. Otherwise, how will they know it was him?
Just about now, a big ruby tucked into his satchel and forty guards from Fort Equis bearing down on his position, he’s wondering precisely why that’s a schtick when it gets him into so much trouble.
(He’ll remember later, though, and laugh about it. What’s the point of a schtick like that unless you get into trouble? All it does is show that you can get out of it again.)
119. Smoke
Is it strange, thinks Hugo, that I miss not being able to see the sky?
On the high plains of Ingvarr, there’s nothing but you and the dust and the mountains. What you are, what you will become, what outlasts you. The air dries you out. Dessication.
But it can’t stop the fire burning. It can’t stop alchemy working. It can’t stop Hugo dreaming of something better, a tower of his own with all the wealth in the world.
But somehow the bleak, stark colours are even worse than the grey of home.
120. Candid
It’s six years, two weddings, and a baby later, and as their spouses are chatting about hobbies (ventriloquy, who knew?), Eugene can finally be honest with her.
“You know...that ice sculpture of a swan? That was actually kind of awesome.”
Stalyan grins, and sips her ale. “Yes, yes it was.”
“...you falling in love with someone who looks just like me was a little creepy, though.”
“In all fairness, he fell in love with me first. Everyone has different ways of coping with heartbreak, Horace.”
“I should not have told you that name,” grumbles Eugene, and she smiles this time.
“But hey, I can be woman enough to admit that I’m glad you’re happy. Even if it’s not how we planned.”
“Right back at you.” Eugene takes a sip of his own drink (warm cocoa, actually, Varian you genius I will never forgive you for getting me addicted to this stuff).
If he’s being honest with himself...he’s married to the love of his life, and every day is even more amazing for it. But it feels good to patch up old wounds.

Made a list of possible suspects for who would take over Corona in the Rapunzel’s Tangled Adventure Season 3 premiere each with a motive on why they would do so. Varian, of course for revenge and could have been possibly been foreshadowed in the episode Happiness In, Andrew aka Hubert as he is a part of the Separatists of Seporia with a gridge against Corona and The Baron who we have not seen since Beyond the Corona Walls and has take over Rapunzel’s kingdom as revenge. Let me know. Who do you think will be the one that will take over.
