Dude magnus goes through so much and it hurts me so bad. I think mags has some of the best character development in literally all of taz dude. Like even around the mark of magnus getting his body back merle snd taako joke around a lot, and of course they've all grown as characters but Magnus in my opinion really develops his character more than either of them from the ending of the eleventh hour. Like inside the stolen century is really when character work is best shown but outside of it i think Magnus has some of the best character work ever.
Dude Travis' characters are some of the best rounded out characters ever
Every single interaction and connection he has, his characters have, is always deep and emotional, be it negative like devo and amber / devo and literally anyone or something that is so beautiiful like magnus and julia / magnus and carey / aubrey and duck / aubrey and dani he puts so much work into his characters, into what he does, the way he develops them, especially as he gains experience. But like also with magnus it's one of the most increadible things to watch magnus go from this goofy guy to someone who cares about people, wants to protect people, loves the ones he surrounds himself with and has such a deep connection not only to the other pcs but also to so many npcs. He has a deep connection to carey that is one of the most heart wrenching things and with mags and ango the way he develops them and just also the way he develops julia and guiding griffin along into developing her more as a character is one of the most beautiful fuckign things. His characters grow and grow and become some of the best characterization and like. He works so hard to make them so human and he does such a good job with it. Like "Those are the arms that held my wife." Is SO fucking human. And like Magnus IS human but i mean it in a more like. Psychological sense. Magnus and Aubrey and Devo are SO fucking human
Fitzroy: how about dr mushrooms?
???: yes, this I like.
Rainer: do we have to use the whole thing? It seems combersom.
Fitzroy:he did not go to mushroom medical school for 8 years to not use his full name!
Flashback to amnesty when Aubrey insisted dr Harris bonkers phd be called by his full name: he didn’t spend 8 years in medical school to not use his full name!
Oh the tables have turned.
Y’all ever think about how the Suffering Game and the Day of Story and Song happened in like a two day time frame TOPS?
Like Griffin doesn’t specify how long it takes them to get through Wonderland but it is like... not more than one day, for sure, and then I’m not sure how long the whole trek up the cave and then moon-base infiltration plan and then drinking the ichor and doing all that stuff up through the end took but like, not that long.
I mean do you ever think about how in the immediate aftermath of the whole thing the boys are probably still getting over their wounds from Wonderland? Maybe they got some healing to fix the physical things a bit but emotionally processing Wonderland and the rest of everything else that came out of it must be a tall order.
Idk, I was just thinking about taz and then I was thinking about this and like... wow. That is an eventful 48 hours.
ALSO??????? The way justin handled taakos reaction to remembering??? Everything i fuckin wanted. And when magnus backed him up? Good shit.
Everyone is cut off from the gods from what I can tell - Merle from Pan as he continues to say "god's not answering me" and back in the suffering game we found out kravitz can't get reach anyone, including the raven queen. So if all the deities are cut off from the plane of existence, who did kravitz strike a deal with? Jon? The souls he's collected?
So um guys..
I know we all love and miss our buddy Johann and want that person playing music to be him, but... Consider this. The next episode will either focus on Taako or Magnus, so if it is Taako then just remember.. A certain skeleton man once spoke of wanting to be a conductor and the visual of a musically gifted Kravitz meeting Taako in a past life on another plane of existence.. This is also very pleasing to think about.
(Possible Adventure Zone spoilers below, depending on if I’m right)
So forgive me if this is super obvious, but... I think I know exactly what the Grand Relics are and how and why they were made.
I was relistening to The Eleventh Hour, and then June/the chalice said this:
“I mean, I wasn’t always a cup, but…[…] Well, that’s kind of hard to explain. I don’t remember being made, but I remember—well, I remember two things: I was made to want to be used, and to make other people want to use my power. But I remember before all this, before I was a cup, and before I was torn into seven parts and jammed into dishes and gloves and what have you, I was something incredible. I could breathe life into entire realities and shape existence at my master’s will.” -The Temporal Chalice, The Eleventh Hour, Chapter Seven.
The crew of the Starblaster got the Light of Creation. And then, to make it easier to wield in the battle against the hunger, they split it into seven pieces and each forged an object harnessing a certain aspect of its power. And that is how the Grand Relics were created.
