Loose Dog Activity in the wintertime messed up my 200+ gallon outdoor pond, so it lost a ton of water to Dog Digging It Out With Leaf Litter and had a lining puncture so it would forever be only fillable to about three inches to maximum. I lost my beloved Shubunkin goldfish group except for one of the first-year babies, and he (Bruno) now lives in this 20 long for the time being.
I took this photo before I had this dog-pond disaster happen, and was planning for the tank to house a group of coldwater species (hadn't decided between about five choices). Thankfully I did have the thing fully cycled when I realized I needed to rescue a goldfish and use this new tank as his impromptu hospital tank. He had deep dog-claw gouges on one side at first, fully raw muscle exposed, and his dorsal and upper tail fin were also ripped up terribly. That was months ago, shortly after this photo was taken.
Bruno is now very healthy, a half-inch longer, and the only signs of his injuries are his top tail fin lobe has a funky lil fold-over. Photos of him as soon as I can catch him not goofily begging for more food (or finger... he is always curious and comes to nibble finger).
