So a while back, when Pokemon Home had become available to import mons from other generations to Scarlet and Violet, I decided to bring Palkia into my Violet save. Palkia is one of my favorite legendaries. I decided to bring Palkia to a Ground Tera Mimikyu raid, COMPLETELY forgetting that Mimikyu is a Fairy-Ghost type, and thus, super effective against Palkia's dragon typing. I had to deal with so many Play Roughs knocking Palkia down a peg all over the place.
This comic came to mind as to the sheer power difference between the two Pokemon. The god of space versus the little ghostie Pikachu clone. And of course… Palkia is none too happy about being absolutely bodied by him.
I take a moment to use potions on Palkia in the mid-point as we're transporting out of the raid. Palkia expresses his frustration, which… totally warranted. If I were a massive god being defeated by a little ghost in a disguise, I'd be pretty upset too xD Though more ego-bruised than anything.
Giratina floats out of the antimatter universe he inhabits and lands in front of Mimikyu. Tera sparkles kick up as he lands. Palkia and I turn to look, curious why he's here…
Giratina's voice, though distorted, comes through clear. He's super proud of Mimikyu. Any father would be when besting his uncle in a fair fight.
Mimikyu beams with pride at his father's approval. Palkia turns with daggers in his eyes, growling at his brother while Giratina cheekily smirks in Palkia's direction. I figure I'll just stay out of this. It would be hubris to think I can stop a fight between two gods, after all.
Maybe there'll be more to this! Dunno. I'm not much of a story teller, but maybe I'll come up with something. :o
A trailer has been released for the Shiny Rayquaza Raids! (I'm predicting we'll have similar Legendary event Raids to tide us over until we get ZA news on Pokemon Day.)
Recently, I've been farming this cat on online raids for a bit, and I made some notes... and silly doodles for your enjoyment. :)
The pokemon I used was a Dragalge. If you saw a silly-looking trainer named "Bird" along with this pokemon nicknamed "Cooler" on the Poke Portal, you probably saw me. Hi :)
Here's my moveset:
-Chilling Water
-Acid Spray
-Sludge Wave
My main goal was to weaken Meowscarada, both offensively and defensively, and blast it!
So far I've only seen my boyfriend use Gouging Fire.
Scarlet players, you have great power over this raid boss!
You can consistently burn it and do some serious damage, so I highly recommend it!
Now I felt bad for these guys. They were always getting fainted. Pesky secondary typing!
Ogerpon, beware Meowscarada's Acrobatics!
Once they terastalized, they no longer had to worry about super-effective moves... just the timer. However, with the right team and a little luck, you can still KO Meowscarada on time! Don't give up!
Magmortar and Magmar were very rare for me to see, but highly appreciated!
Turn 1: Clear Smog! No Hone Claws for you, Meowscarada.
For the rest of the battle, they whittled it away with burns and Acid Sprays.
Persistence is key, this cat loves to reset its status effects!
Finally, my favorite guys to get teamed up with. They can never get fainted!
Shell Armor protects them from crits, and they love to boost their defenses.
Torkoal sometimes burns Meowscarada, which is always appreciated.
But Hisuian Goodra... it does a similar thing I did with Dragalge, so we pulled off some great combos together! 🐲🤝🐲
Ooo is it ok if u write a drayton x reader where reader is really reckless and always takes on challenges such as doing 7 star terra raids and goes off on different adventures, and he gets worried and protective and the rest of the bb elite 4 find it cute and funny

Pokémon Scarlett and Violet Indigo Disk DLC Spoilers ahead!
After one to many raids where you get hurt. Drayton decided to finally ask you to let him come with you. Though things didn't go exactly as he had hopped.
Warnings: Small argument, Fluff, protective Drayton
SPOILER WARNING: No spoiler warning. Unless you don't know character names
“Drayton, I'm not so sure about this…” Your voice cut through the silence of the BB League room. Drayton had asked you completely out of the blue to let him tag along on your next raid. Which happened to be a black crystal 7star. “You’ve never even done a raid before.”
Leaning against the table, he simply turns his head and smiles, his pearly fangs flashing at you for a moment before pleading his case. “So? I’m a fast learner, I have good Pokémon too, gave you a challenge, didn’t I? Plus, you make one hell of a teacher.”
“True I do.” A snarky smile crosses your face for a moment, the sound of Crispin snickering in the corner at the self-confidence. “But even if I could show you about raid battling. I'm going to a 7 star… these aren't exactly teaching material. Especially given what's inside the crystal.”
“What’s inside? A larger than average Scorbunny? If so Drayton really should go.” Lacey teased, prodigy Drayton’s face with a gleeful smile. His own face scowled slightly at the remark.
“Maybe it’s an angry Trapinch coming back to taunt him! That would make for a spicy dish!” Crispin added, spinning his pan around.
Drayton’s head snapped up, and he stared at his fiery friend. “We do not talk about the Trapinch man! My ass still has NOT recovered from it… neither had my ego.”
“Think more… giant psychic mouse thing with serious anger issues.” You admit holding back the laugh that just wanted to leave your lungs.
“Well, that wasn’t what I expected… But hey! That's never stopped me before. Don’t forget which one of us helped you with the legendary hunt.” Drayton pestered, still clutching onto any string he can, to convince you to let him come. Anything to give him that edge up on you, if the dragon egg eyes won’t work. Then good old fashion pleading will have to do - and he’s about 5 seconds from doing that.
“Drayton, I love you, but I can't bring myself to let you come with me on this one! If it was a 4 star then yeah totally. But this is huge! These sorts of raids, I can't bring someone so inexperienced into the palace. I wouldn’t even bring Kieran!” You argued, it was no surprise that your pleas fell upon stubborn ears.
“That’s exactly why I want to go with you! It pains me whenever you come back from one of your raid trips hurt… or bruised. And I can't help but think to myself that I could have done something to help you. Take the load off of you!” His voice cracked slightly, not out of sadness or hurt, but more out of the fact he couldn’t do something to protect you. Drayton knows you can handle yourself, you’ve proven that to him on many occasions. But at the end of the day, you are still his treasure, and he wants to protect you, needs to. “Just let me come along this once! If I cause you problems, I’ll never ask again, just please humour me.”
Before you could even give him a response, Lacey’s voice cut through the tension, it was soft-spoken but clear. “Come on, let him… let him.”
“SHHH. It’s getting good…” Crispin's equally soft voice cut after hers, somehow eating popcorn. Where did he get that, why are you asking? He’s the chef, not me.
“Can you four stop bickering. You are ruining my concentration.” Amary’s scolded, the sound of her pocket watch snapping closed followed her voice. “In case you 3 have forgotten, we have a meeting to get to with the director. You have 5 minutes, don’t be tardy.”
Amary’s left the room not long after. The 4 of you left dumbfounded in the room, it wasn't until Drayton’s voice chimed up again. “Okay, I was not the only one who had no idea she was in the room, right?”
“I think she spawned in?” Crispin answered with a question of his own.
“How long has she been here? I've been here all morning? Did she drink an invisibility potion… What does she know that we don’t?” Lacey’s brain scratched as well.
“I think it's like a Spinarak thing. If you stand still, they can’t see you.” Your fellow companions laugh at your remark, it's a dumb reason, but what isn’t. During the laughter, you take your chance to leave. Grabbing your bag and heading for the door, only for the sound of it shutting in your face to follow. Peering up, you notice Drayton’s somehow moved from the other side of the room to close the door. His face was one of worry. He couldn't keep eye contact with you, anytime he tried, he just looked back at the door then at you again; as if silently asking you to let him come with you. His face reminded you of the first time he admitted he loved you. That silent protective plea of his. Never spoken through words. With a deep sigh of defeat, you take a step back from the door and stretch your hand out towards it. “After you, dragon boy.”
“YES! I WIN!” Drayton proclaimed jumping up for a moment fist in the air victorious. Lacey elbowed him directly in the ribs moments later, Crispin crying of laughter on the floor trying desperately not to whack himself in the face with his frying pan. “Ow right, right. Thank you, love! NOW LET'S GO KICK SOME MOUSE BUTT!”

So this is Caspian, my beloved Ceruledge from Pokemon Violet. Why is he named after a Disney prince? Well, I caught him in a Tera Raid during my playthrough and his Tera Type...
...is Fairy. Which came in handy for a lot of fights since I didn't have that many answers for Dragon Types.
Once I got to doing some of the tougher Tera Raids, I trained Caspian to be my main Raid 'mon since he's incredibly offensive with an attacking move the recovers HP (Bitter Blade), so he's got a surprising amount of staying power as well. His Tera Type was also crucial for defeating the Dragon, Dark, and Fighting Tera Raids, which all came to a head when he helped me defeat and catch this Shiny Rayquaza (who I don’t have a nickname for still lol)
In a sense, he's quite literally a prince/knight saving the princess (me) from the dragon. It’s kind of his whole deal by now.
So, in the most recent Raid featuring a Shiny Wo-Chien, a Grass type, I thought it would be a perfect chance for Caspian to shine once again and contribute to the 1 million wins challenge that Gamefreak proposed in order to get these shiny legendaries. One problem though-- Caspian might be a Fire type normally, but not being able to break through the Tera shield with his Tera Fairy attacks meant I was getting my ass kicked. Consistently. Something had to change, and I realized that I really needed Caspian to be Tera Fire. But it feels so wrong for his Tera Type to be anything other than Fairy; like I'm stripping away a core part of his being. Caspian just isn't Caspian without the Fairy type.
So I kept trying, and I kept dying, and eventually frustration finally got to me enough that I reluctantly made the trip to Medali and forked over 50 Tera Shards to change Caspian's Tera Type to Fire.
It did ultimately let me finally gain victory over this stupid slug, but it just felt so wrong, like it wasn't really Caspian doing the fighting here. Hell I mean look at him, his colorful fire blades literally turned black like he was channeling a super-powered evil side or something. I'm sure Caspian could care less what type he turns into as long as he can protect me and win the fight but like, I feel so bad for doing it lol it felt like I was corrupting him or something
Hey, I have a question for anybody on tumblr that might have an answer? Does anybody know if beating the shiny ruin quartet raids counts towards the 1 mil defeated if you don't have nso? Because I'm concerned that I'm just wasting my time with this and I don't know where else I can get this information. Thank you in advance!
