Eddie Thawne was new to Central City, New to Central City high school and being the new kid always resorted to him being cast out and people not wanting to be friends unless said new kid was someone that the kids liked, either beautiful, hot, rich bad boy.
Eddie was rich. But even then that didn’t even give him the comfort of being out of eye shot of the mean kids. The bullies. Maybe it had to do with the fact that despite he was rich he was also chubby and he was trying his hardest to lose the weight. Being eighteen and chubby and rich and the senators son didn’t mesh well with the other kids.
He kept his head down, not speaking to anyone. Not engaging in conversation even if they directed taunts to him. He made sure to stay as invisible as he could.
That is until Barry Allen, the schools golden boy had decided that he was interested in him.
“Go out with me. Would it be that bad if you did?” Barry asked. They were sitting in study hall, Eddie sitting in the back reading his chemistry book and he hadn’t noticed when Barry had gotten up and walked over to him, his friends watching with hawk like eyes as he dropped into the seat next to him.
Eddie didn’t respond. He didn’t even look up. And that made Barry smile a little. He took the book, closed and moved his hand so that he was cupping Eddie’s face. They were looking directly at each other.
“I can have you arrested for this.” Eddie said. “My dad doesn’t like people touching me.” He slapped his hand down. “Especially people like you.”
“People like me? People who’s willing to talk to you? Speak with you? I like you Eddie. Why can’t you see that?”
“And why do you like me? I’m not exactly winning any beauty contest here and I’m not exactly your type.”
“And what’s my type? Huh? You don’t know that.”
Eddie snorted. “Beautiful. Not exactly bright. That’s your type. Not me. Now if you don’t mind. I’m trying to study.”
Barry sighed. But he got up. “Fine. But this isn’t over. I will ask again and I think next time you’ll say yes.”
“Don’t be so sure.”

Each time that Eddie ran into Barry he wore that stupid smile and carried a rose with him, handing it to Eddie who tossed it into the trash. Not playing into the little game that Barry was playing.
“One chance Eddie. That’s all I want. Please.” Eddie read the message. He was actually feeling a bit sad for Barry now. He didn’t know the game but he wasn’t going to buy into it. Yet he did want Barry to leave him alone.
“One date.” Eddie sent back. “And if this is some joke. If I’m some joke to you and your friends my dad will know about it.”
Brace yourselves, followers! Its Thallen Week again, and that means I’m going to be reblogging a shit-ton of fanfiction! I’m going to tag it as #thallen , so if you feel the need to block it, feel free.
I’m also going to be posting fics for it, on my side blog @lees-oneshots-for-ships so do me a huge favour and go check it out, if you can, and if you think thallen is/might be your thing. It's Barry Allen and Eddie Thawne from CW’S The Flash, by the way. (thawne + allen = thallen, get it?)
Thank you so much for voting, I’m so excited to see what’s in store for the second Thallen Week before the Holiday/Christmas special!
The option with the most votes for the second Thallen Week of 2015 is:
THE END OF SUMMER (August/September)
What a great way to start the fall semester! More information and details will be posted soon, including potential dates.
In the meantime, you are all welcome to send in prompts/themes that may be included in a prompt poll. They do not have to be summer related, but they cannot be any of the official prompts from the first Thallen Week.
Get excited for #thallensummer2015! See you very soon! ❤️
Vote for when you want the second Thallen Week of 2015!
Hey, everyone! Hope all of your exams and tests went well and your summer has been amazing so far :)
I thought it’d be a nice time to ask you guys when you would want to have the second Thallen Week of this year. I have created a poll and there are three options.
Firstly, though, I’m already set on doing a Holiday/Christmas Week special (more information will be released later in the year), but I want to know if you guys wanted another Thallen Week before December.
So here are your options:
The end of summer, which will be sometime in August or September.
Halloween special in October.
A countdown to The Flash Season 2 Premiere (premiere date to be announced, but will be sometime in the fall).
Or you can choose not to have another Thallen Week until the Holiday special.
Vote here. You may vote once a day until Tuesday, June 30th.
I’m terribly missing all the thallen gifs, pics and especially fics on my dash now. I need to read more thallen fluff or smut. Please all you awesome writers out there, go and write tons of thallen or westhallen stuff.
Thallen Week; Day 7: Badboy/Librarian/Nerd/etc. AU
So I know it’s late but it’s finally here! Hopefully my gif sets make up for the tardiness. I kind of like this verse and I can think of more to do with it. If you like it too, let me know if you want this as a verse cause if no one wants it I won’t write it, lol. So here is the conclusion to Thallen week! I hope you all enjoy!
Eddie wasn’t particularly thrilled to be taking physics this year. As a senior, he thought he’d be able to just relax this year and take easy classes like shop class and gym. But no, his stupid guidance counselor told him that he needed one more science class to graduate. Eddie wasn’t exactly the smartest guy in his class but he knew a thing or two. Unfortunately, those things weren’t physics.
He hiked up his backpack over his shoulder and walked into classroom 104B. He was late, but he didn’t care. Nor did he care about the pointed look the teacher was giving him. Eddie’s boots clacked along the floor as he scanned the room for an empty seat. The class seemed to have already picked their lab partners for the year so Eddie assumed he’d be stuck with whatever reject had no friends. He spotted a table with only one person sitting at it so Eddie threw his bag down under the table and slid onto the stool. He saw the person shift nervously next to him so Eddie decided to take a look. He had thick framed black glasses that were framing his beautiful green eyes. His hair fell onto his forehead but he kept trying to push it back. Someone needed to teach him about hair gel. He was wearing a green cardigan over a black polo shirt and khaki pants. He had converse sneakers on with white socks and his whole outfit was contrast to Eddie’s. Eddie had a white t-shirt on under his leather jacket. His dark wish jeans fell over his boots and his hair was all mussed up from his motorcycle helmet.
Eddie had to admit, he had a bit of a nerd kink and this guy was definitely filling that. He smirked at the nervous demeanor of his lab partner and scooted his stool closer.
“Well, hello,” Eddie purred. His partner’s eyes glanced up to meet his for a moment before looking back down to the table.
“Hi,” he answered quietly.
“I’m Eddie, I guess we’re partners,” Eddie said.
“I’m Barry,” Barry said.
“Barry,” Eddie tried the name on his tongue. Barry nodded a little and picked up his pen, nervously fidgeting with it in his hands.
“Bartholomew?” the teacher, Mr. Wells, called and Eddie saw Barry physically wince at the name.
“Here! Um, can you call me ‘Barry’ please?” Barry said.
“Sure thing,” Mr. Wells said.
“Bartholomew?” Eddie asked, eyebrows raised.
“I hate it,” Barry said, shaking his head.
“I’ll call you Barry, don’t worry,” Eddie said. Barry looked up at Eddie in surprise.
“You’re…not going to beat me up for it?” Barry asked.
“What? Beat you up? For your name?” Eddie asked.
“Name, being a dork, being gay, having chicken legs, because my family is messed up, take your pick,” Barry mumbled. Eddie smirked when Barry mentioned being gay and leaned in even closer to him.
“Gay, hmm? Well, I’d be quite the hypocrite for that,” Eddie said. Barry looked up quickly and realized that Eddie’s lips were only inches from him so he quickly looked back down.
“You’re gay?” Barry asked quietly.
“I am,” Eddie answered.
“Edward?” Mr. Wells called.
“Here. It’s Eddie,” Eddie said. He heard Mr. Wells huff but write it down anyway. Clearly he had heard about Eddie before. Story of his life, really.
“Hey, if anyone tries to lay a hand on you, for any reason, you come to me, alright?” Eddie said.
Barry looked up at Eddie, surprised by the offer. He didn’t understand why he would stick up for him. But he wasn’t going to look a gift horse in the mouth.
“Yeah. I will. Thank you,” Barry said.
“Alright class, let me tell you what we’ll be up to this year…” Mr. Wells started the class. Eddie listened as Wells droned on and on about different topics and projects they’d be working on but all he could really think about was peeling Barry’s clothing off layer by layer to see what he was hiding underneath.
Once the bell rang, Barry began packing up his bag and Eddie picked his up and leaned over into Barry’s space.
“What class do you have next?” Eddie asked.
“Calculus,” Barry answered as he put his backpack on his back.
“Oh, so you’re in all of those smart classes, hmm? Odds aren’t I won’t see until tomorrow then,” Eddie said. “See you then.”
Eddie smiled at Barry and he noticed the hitch in his breathing and slight color appear on Barry’s cheeks. He smirked in satisfaction and gave him one last wink before walking out the door.
~O~
When Eddie walked into class the next day, Barry was already there. Eddie wasn’t surprised though since he was, once again, late. He was surprised however that someone had given Barry some hair gel since his bangs were up today. Today he had a red cardigan on over a white t-shirt and jeans. Eddie sauntered over to his seat and sat down.
“Hey, you,” Eddie said.
“Hello,” Barry said.
“How’re you doing, babe?” Eddie asked.
“M’good,” Barry blushed and kept his eyes on the table.
“Today, you and your lab partners will begin working on your first project. The handout going around will give you your instructions and it is due two weeks from today. Feel free to ask my any questions along the way. You will have all class today to work on it but after that this must be worked on outside of class. I suggest exchanging phone numbers and email addresses with your partner,” Mr. Wells said.
“Gladly,” Eddie said as he took a handout and gave one to Barry. He ripped off part of a page and scribbled his number as well as email on it before handing it to Barry. “Just text me. Anytime.”
Barry wrote down his information and gave it to Eddie as well.
“We can work on it at my house. My, um…sister is always in her room listening to music,” Barry said. Truth be told, Barry felt more comfortable being in his own environment, where Joe could walk in at any time.
“Sounds good. After school today?” Eddie asked, anxious to get Barry alone.
“Yeah. Yeah, okay,” Barry said.
“I could give you a ride? Unless your car is here,” Eddie offered.
“No, that’s fine,” Barry said. He could just text Iris and tell her not to wait up for him with her car.
“So what’ve we got here?” Eddie asked as he looked over the handout.
“We have to build a solid motor rocket propulsion,” Barry said as he read over the paper.
“English?” Eddie asked.
“We have to see how high a rocket goes based on how we build different engines,” Barry said.
“We have to build an engine?” Eddie asked, turning his head to stare at Barry.
“It’s not that hard,” Barry shrugged.
“Are you a genius?” Eddie asked seriously. Barry laughed a little and shook his head.
“No, I’m not,” Barry said.
“I beg to differ,” Eddie said. “I don’t know what half of these words mean and I’m pretty sure you could teach this class.”
Barry blushed a little and smiled shyly. He probably could teach this in all honesty. Barry pulled out a piece of paper and began sketching his ideas down. Eddie scooted over to look over Barry’s shoulder as he worked. Eddie couldn’t help but notice how Barry’s tongue poked out as he concentrated and his brow creased.
“You’re cute,” Eddie whispered close to Barry’s ear. Barry immediately stopped writing and his posture straightened. No one like Eddie had ever told him that before.
“You’re messing with me,” Barry mumbled as he went back to writing.
“No, I’m not,” Eddie said. He reached over and lightly placed his hand on Barry’s knee. “I think you’re hot.”
Barry blushed a dark shade of red but managed to keep working this time.
“So we’ll need a way to measure the height,” Barry said. Eddie removed his hand, not wanting to make Barry uncomfortable. But he definitely wasn’t done trying to get into Barry’s pants.
~O~
“Ready to go?” Eddie asked as he met Barry in front of the school.
“Ready,” Barry said, adjusting his backpack strap. “Where’s your car?”
“Car? No, I don’t have a car,” Eddie said. He reached over into his backpack and pulled out a helmet. “Here, you can wear mine.”
“Wait, what?” Barry asked as he took the helmet. “You ride a motorcycle?”
“Yeah,” Eddie said, nodding for Barry to follow him over to his bike. He opened up the back hatch and pulled out his spare helmet. “Climb on.”
Eddie strapped on his helmet and swung one leg over. Barry looked at the bike cautiously for a moment before climbing on behind Eddie.
“You’re going to have to hang on,” Eddie said, smirking to himself. Barry wrapped his arms around Eddie’s middle. “Tighter.”
“I’m good,” Barry said.
“You’ll see,” Eddie said and started the bike. As soon as he started moving Barry squeezed his arms so tight around Eddie that he thought he might pop. He smirked in satisfaction especially when he felt Barry’s head against his back. He had to admit, this was the best part of having a motorcycle.
Barry had to scream the directions to Eddie as they drove but they finally arrived at Barry’s house. He parked the bike in front of the house and took his helmet off. Barry got off and took his off as well.
“Enjoy the ride?” Eddie asked.
“It was fun, yeah,” Barry smiled. Eddie put both helmets back and ran a hand through his hair.
“Come on in, Iris isn’t home yet,” Barry said when he noticed her car wasn’t in the driveway. The two walked up to the door and Barry unlocked it allowing them both inside. Eddie looked around and nodded in approval.
“Nice place,” he said.
“Thanks,” Barry said. He walked over to the couch and dropped his backpack down on the coffee table. Eddie followed him over and placed his bag next to Barry’s. “Do you want something to drink?”
“No, I’m good,” Eddie said as he sat down on the couch. Barry sat down next to him, awkwardly rubbing his hands together.
“Do you really think I’m hot?” It came out in a rush and Barry didn’t even really realize what he said until it was out.
“Yeah, I do,” Eddie said, sliding closer to Barry. He put his hand on Barry’s knee and rubbed it gently.
“Why?” Barry asked.
“What do you mean ‘why?” Eddie asked.
“I mean I’m not exactly muscular or have straight teeth and I have moles all over my face, and--,” Barry stuttered out before Eddie interrupted him.
“Barry, attractiveness is not some scientific equation that needs variables. It’s not science. You’re hot. Deal with it,” Eddie smirked before leaning in and kissing Barry on the lips. Barry was a little startled at the action but eventually ended up kissing Eddie back. Eddie leaned back against the couch, wrapping his arms around Barry’s waist to pull him back with him. Barry cupped Eddie’s face in his hands as he kissed him before really realizing what he was doing. He pulled back and cleared his throat, moving back to sit on the edge of his seat.
“Um, Iris will be home any minute,” he said awkwardly.
“Your sister has never seen you kiss anyone before?” Eddie asked, still leaning back on the couch.
“She has. It’s just awkward,” Barry said, looking down at his hands.
“Wait,” Eddie said, studying Barry. “You’re not a virgin, are you?”
Barry blushed at the question and cleared his throat again.
“No,” Barry said, barely audible.
“I’m not so sure I believe that,” Eddie smirked.
“I’m not,” Barry said, turning his head to look at Eddie.
“Yeah?” Eddie sat up, moving closer to Barry. “What was his name?”
“Hartley. Hartley Rathaway,” Barry said. Eddie knew the guy. A science dork that was kind of a prick.
“You dated Hartley Rathaway?” Eddie asked. “He’s a douche.”
“Yeah,” Barry said, rubbing the back of his neck. “I figured that out.”
“So why’d you date him?” Eddie asked.
“He was…charming. At first. And he was smart. He liked physics. He was cute. And he liked me,” Barry said. “It was fun for a while.”
“You could do so much better than him,” Eddie said softly in Barry’s ear. He rested his hand on the small of Barry’s back. Barry turned his head to look at Eddie. His gaze shifted to Eddie’s lips and before he knew it, he leaned forward and started kissing Eddie again. Eddie graciously accepted the kiss and kissed Barry back heatedly. Barry turned himself around and straddled Eddie’s lap as Eddie rested his hands on Barry’s hips. Eddie’s tongue came out to lick at Barry’s lips and Barry immediately opened them for him. Barry let out a soft moan as Eddie licked into his mouth. Eddie’s hands traveled to Barry’s ass and gave it a squeeze, forcing his hips to buck into Eddie’s. Barry whimpered and moved his hands up to Eddie’s hair, scratching slightly at his scalp. The two of them heard the doorknob jiggle and Barry jumped off of Eddie’s lap, smoothing down his hair with his hands as he sat down a few inches away from Eddie. Eddie sat up, not really caring since he didn’t even know this girl.
“Bar, I’m ho—Oh, hello,” Iris said as she walked into the house.
“Hey, Iris. This is my lab partner Eddie,” Barry tried to say calmly. “We’re working on a project.”
“Eddie Thawne, right?” Iris asked, throwing her keys down.
“Yeah,” Eddie said, nodding his head at her.
“You’re the one who beat up Tony Woodward, right?” Iris asked, crossing her arms over her chest.
“Um, yes. I did that. Why? Is he a friend of yours?” Eddie asked.
“Oh God no!” Iris laughed out as she walked past them and into the kitchen.
“You beat up Tony?” Barry asked.
“Yeah, why?” Eddie asked. He wasn’t sure why Barry was smiling a little.
“He bullies me relentlessly. So, I shouldn’t be smiling but I’m kind of glad he got what he dishes out,” Barry said.
“Then I’m glad I cleaned his clock. He’s an ass. And the next time he gives you any trouble just tell him we’re friends. He should back off,” Eddie said.
“Friends, huh?” Iris said, walking back in from the kitchen.
“Yes. Uh, Barry didn’t you say we needed to move to your room cause that’s where all your…science stuff is?” Eddie asked, standing up.
“Wha—Oh, yeah. Yes, that’s where my science stuff is,” Barry nodded awkwardly and stood up. They each grabbed their bags and Eddie followed Barry up the stairs and into his room. Iris just watched them go, wondering when Barry became friends with someone who wasn’t in the chess club.
“Your sister is black?” Eddie asked once the door was closed.
“Uh, yeah. She’s not really my sister and Joe, her dad, isn’t really my dad. I came to live with them when I was little. After my mom died,” Barry said. He sat down on his bed as Eddie walked around the room and looked at the different science models Barry had around his room.
“What about your dad?” Eddie asked, twirling a model of the earth in his hand.
“Um. He went to prison for her murder. Wrongfully, though. He didn’t do it,” Barry sighed and shook his head.
Eddie walked over and sat down next to Barry.
“Alright. I believe you,” Eddie said. Barry smiled at him. No one had just believed him right off the bat, not even asking any questions.
“So, did you really want to work on our project or continue what we were..?” Barry asked.
“Oh, definitely that second one,” Eddie said. He smirked and leaned in, capturing Barry’s lips in a kiss. Barry smiled into the kiss and cupped Eddie’s face. Eddie lay back on Barry’s bed and Barry situated himself on top. Eddie spread his legs to let Barry comfortably rest between them. And partially to feel Barry’s body pressed against his crotch. Eddie reached under Barry’s cardigan and shirt to feel his skin underneath his hands. Barry’s back arched into the touch. He pulled back after a few minutes and rested his head against Eddie’s.
“Eddie, wait,” Barry said, breathlessly.
“What’s wrong?” Eddie asked. Barry took his glasses off and put them on his pillow. He rubbed his left eye and sighed before answering Eddie.
“Just, if this goes farther. I’m going to have to sit next to you every day knowing you got what you wanted from me and then watch you flirt with other guys once we’re done. I’m the kind of guy who has feelings for other guys. Not just…sex,” Barry said, avoiding Eddie’s eyes.
“Hey,” Eddie said, taking Barry’s face in his hands and make Barry look him in the eyes. “You’re not just a hit and run. I mean, when I first saw you I was so turned on that I was focused on getting in your pants but you’re just so cute and smart and God damn it, Barry. I have no idea what you’ve done to me. I get this weird feeling in my stomach. And my heart speeds up. And I smile when I look at you. And it’s only been two days. What’s even going on?”
“They’re called feelings, Eddie,” Barry smiled. He chuckled and leaned down to kiss Eddie quickly. “I’ve got ‘em too. I must’ve caught them from you. I’m just kidding. You don’t actually catch them.”
“How dumb do you think I am, Allen?” Eddie smirked and poked Barry’s sides, making him laugh.
“You’re not dumb,” Barry said. “You’re a lot smarter than I thought, honestly. My first impression of you wasn’t very good, I’ll admit. But you’ve proved me wrong. Minus the being ridiculously sexy thing because I still think that.”
“Sexy, huh?” Eddie smirked.
“Yes,” Barry blushed. Eddie grinned and brought Barry down for another kiss. “You’re a nice bad boy.”
Eddie laughed and shook his head.
“Kind of a contradiction. But you’re a sexy as fuck geek so I guess that makes us even,” Eddie said.
“Makes sense,” Barry said.
“Now were we?” Eddie asked, running his hand up Barry’s back again.
“Right about here…” Barry slipped his cardigan and shirt off before pressing himself against Eddie and kissing him passionately.
Iris sat on the couch, chuckling to herself. She wondered if Barry knew how thin their walls really were.
