well here they are. the great big heroes from the 500 year old war that shaped the modern era. they were good, morally pristine and are long dead. trust.
I was thinking today and I need people to give me more feral Remus Lupin during the first war actually.
Considering he had told Harry that during war you kill not disarm.
Give me Lupin who was the first of them to use the killing spell in defense of one of his friends, give me Lupin who stood there panting and teeth clenched and who turned around to the faces of his terrified friends and just collapsed in horror of what he’d done.
Each of them rushing forward to hold him because “Oh no we’re not having that here-“
Give me the wolf inside him, protective and snarling and ruthless, ever raging and a little stronger near the full.
Give me Lupin who was so beaten down and skin and bones and scraps but who was scarier than any of the rest, give me Lupin whose eyes glinted yellow in the light.
Give me Lupin who fell apart internally, emotionally by the doing of his own hands and was held and glued back together by the hands of Sirius and James and Peter and.
Give me Lupin who took a deep sigh, a deep exhale, nestled among his friends - or with his cheeks between the hands of one Sirius Black and who came to terms with this new world - with the ugly parts of himself, that lingering possessiveness that had always been there that now allowed him to recklessly defend but to kill too.
Give me more complicated Remus Lupin please.
i always wonder how the order didn’t win the war like they have muggles on their side it couldn’t have been that hard to get every order member a gun??
I'd like to say something that's very obvious but none ever talks about
In Harry Potter whether its the canon books or the marauders era they're were kids calling a child evil is insane
Biggest examples
Draco, James Potter, Sirius black, young Severus snap , Regulus black and so on
They were kids but weren't treated as such they were all groomed as soldiers whether its for the good side or the bad side they were still too young and the cycle repeated itself when the kids that survived the first war grow up to do the same things that happened to them in the second war
good morning, would you dare to write more in depth about Severus fleeing from hogwarts and therefore, he was not a spy for the order
Hi! I would love to write this! Sorry about the wait on this one, I hope you meant that I am writing this in the perspective that Severus is around seventeen right now.

Twigs snapped and leaves crunched from under his shoes as he ran, clutching his cloak around himself. The rain poured down harder and harder within the hour and his hair was blowing wild in the wind. He couldn’t believe that this was his life now. On the run. He had done enough running in his life and once again he managed to fuck it up and turned to run again. Perhaps his father was right….always one to hide and cower but never stand up and face the fire.
4 hours earlier…
Whimpers surrounded him as he walked down the hall and headed to his next class. The war was edging closer and everyone knew that. Everyone knew that they had a side to picked and easy enough everyone decided that the slytherins had made their decision. Green means evil and red means good. Severus knew better…star wars is fact enough.
Nothing was ever easy for the Snape boy. A group of four kids made sure of that. He thought Hogwarts was going to different, was going to take him away from the pain that was left at home. He thought that the Headmaster would at least see reason….how wrong could someone be?
Class ended as soon as it started. It seems with everyone in fear, time decided to go faster than usual. Severus bolted out the classroom and headed for dormitory. He had three choices. All ones that he knew would lead him done struggles and hardships and simply break him…well perhaps the first two would. The last one would be a chance of freedom from everything. The chance to walk forward and never look back, his past would be forgotten and his future might look bright. And lastly his future and actions would be in his own hands.
Walking through the common room of Slytherin, he made no eye contact with the other snakes. Not that it was out of the ordinary. He made his way to his room and let out a breath of relief when he saw that Evan wasn’t there.
Evan Rosier.
The name left a trail of disgust when spoken. Severus knew what he was getting into when he exchanged his life for protection from these cold, lonely halls. Years that were meant to be filled with warmth, happiness, and love. But they just turned out like every part of his life. Cold, dark, empty, and filled with a bitter feeling.
Walking over to his bed, he dropped on his knees and pulled out his worn down trunk. His initials were carved on top of his mothers’ when she was a student at Hogwarts. However that didn’t matter, he simply didn’t have enough time.
Time.
He had to hurry up this sad reunion with his things if he wanted to make it out before someone noticed. If they ever do.
Severus pulled the sheets from his bed off and shoved them in his satchel. Thanks to the genius that he is (never said he was humble), the satchel had his own spell that charm its way to hold as much as you wanted without a small limit. With the sheets gone, he made haste with his pillow and shoved it in too. Couldn’t be too careful to leave behind anything that he wouldn’t have the money to replace.
He got up from the floor and glanced over to the closet of Lyall Wilkes. Deciding against his better judgment, he flanged the doors open and grabbed one of the thickest cloaks there was. Black of course. Wilkes was one of the snakes that he tolerated and a hint of guilt struck him but Severus pushed that down before anything. He shut the doors close and flicked his wrist and his trunk flew to his open hand. Firmly grasping it, he threw the cloak over himself. The black wool engulfed him and the trunk but for precaution measures, he wordlessly and wandlessly spelled his trunk to become invisible. Another one of his many crafted spells.
Looking over the room, Severus saw nothing else was out of place except for his bared bed. That would be nothing out of the ordinary for his roommates either, since he often used to sleep under the stars in the Astronomy tower.
With the turn of his heels, Severus walked out his dorm and out of the common room without a commotion.
Many reckless encounters with the so called Marauders, gave him the knowledge of the hidden passageways that could lead him out of the school and into Hogsmeade, without triggering any wards that the Headmaster could have spelt into Hogwarts.
Severus calmly and carefully walked out of the tunnels and looked around. He seemed to find himself in the mostly forgotten area of it. He thanked the God above and pulled the head of the cloak over his. He was surrounded by trees and dying grass. Reminded him too much of home but he shook his head and ran straight into the woods. If he could remember correctly, this part of Hogsmeade lead to a train station that not many knew about.
It didn’t matter because he was free. Finally. At last he could finally be-
“Who’s there?” Severus froze and a chill went down his spine as he heard the high pitched voice of whoever the fuck. “You’re not suppose to be here. This area is off limits.” There goes why no one came to this part of Hogsmeade.
The distance calls grew closer and louder with every passing second and in that moment Severus made a tan for it. As if he was in a movie of some sorts, it began to rain. Severus barely held the sigh to himself but let a groan of annoyance slip out from him.
Twigs snapped and leaves crunched from under his shoes as he ran, clutching Wilkes’-well now his cloak around himself. The rain poured down harder and harder within the hour and his hair was blowing wild in the wind. He couldn’t hear anything, blocked out everything and just kept running. Running until he saw a creaky old shack…flashbacks of what happened two year ran through him but he knew better. That shack couldn’t and wouldn’t be here. He made heist and hide inside it. It seems whoever was chasing him, gave up a while ago and it finally gave Severus a chance to unclenched his mouth and hands and relax.
Lifting the spell off his trunk, he sulk down to his arse with the help of the definitely infected wall.
“Fuck this shit.” He said aloud. “Who knew running away would feel like this?”
“I suppose talking to yourself is one side effect to all this.” Severus darkly laughed as he took a moment to rest again.
. . .
Silence. Complete utter silence. He doesn’t remember when life was ever so quiet before.
Besides the fact of the hard rain washing over the shack, Severus can’t help but think he made the right choice.
The only way from here is to apparate to wherever he wanted. He was legally an adult and just had to file in some paperwork. Perhaps he will blend in with the muggles until the War is over. Maybe then he will come back and apply to jobs. Until then, Severus will relax in his new found freedom.

everyone talks about how Sirius didn't trust Remus during the war but no one talks about how James and Lily didn't trust him either
