Okay so I'm making a list of the Admins we have so far,, this'll probably be updated as time goes on and suggestions are always welcome!

Abyssal - mentioned by the anon I was talking with in Proceed to Overwrite asks (actually like everyone BUT Forum&Domain were pulled from that au,,, WHOOPS). Probably handles more clean-up aspects and does damage control

Cluster - handles ascending Guardians to Admins (in basically everything expect for when he gets booted in Proceed to Overwrite)

Umbra - handles the more political affairs, assigns Admims their jobs

Buffer - not sure on a name for this one yet, but it handles more of the communication aspects from the vibe I'm getting, a lot more loose than other Admins

Forum & Domain - ofc not as powerful as other Admins, but definitely being looked at and considered for being promoted at some point (nepotism from the admin who made them when they were prototypes? Maybe!)

Ping - also not sure of a name yet, but it probably does blocking and unblocking commands, maybe even creating them

Lag - (belongs to Duckapus) assigned to doing maintenance because of his lazy attitude, but this due to the fact that he used to be SMG0's and Niles Admin..

Crash - handles demotions, reviewing others and keeping check of their progress

Byte - creator of SMG-1/Domain and SMG-2/Forum, does basic things like looking over the SMG program and helping maintain it (one of the nastiest admins)

CPU - probably does stuff like managing punishments for other Higher-Ups? Getting a very "done with everyone's bullshit" vibe tbh

Manifest - (belong to Duckapus) head desk clerk (? I think?) of the Adminspace

Antivirus - handles dealing with, demoting, punishing and all that stuff with Admins

Cookie - disgraced Admin currently imprisoned in an old office-turned-prison cell. Utterly obsessed with Byte and used to help with organizing code before she was imprisoned

So the reason the Higher-Ups want to intervene during the Goomba situation when they haven't before, even during something as massive as Zero, is because the discovery that NPCs can be given Guardian Powers, especially by accident, sets a terrifying precedent. Because this time, they ended up with a complete nobody and it got this bad, so what if next time it ends up happening to someone already powerful, or openly evil, or with far loftier ambitions than just "fixing" things that inconvenience them? So, they're freaking out, and there's quite a few of them who want to do something do anything to make sure this can't happen again.

Which means it's now Forum's job to make sure that Something isn't something crazy like "deactivate this universe before The Goomba breaches containment" or "shut down the SMG program entirely." Because enough of the Admins aren't thinking straight in the midst of the crisis that an overreaction is almost inevitable.

Okay so you've got me curious about this Balance Mode-

Okay, so the idea originated from a bugged copy of Ink Armor that activated after a kill. "Unfortunately", it only affected the killer and not their peers. Additionally, the effect didn't last long, but it "stuck" as a layer of fat that didn't go away until the killer died themselves

The higherups, hot off the heels of inknuking (another game element based off a bugged special), instantly knew what to do: Make a "balanced" ink battle mode. Essentially, every kill made the killer fatter, and also slower too (and when they died their ink explosion was bigger too) So they marketed it to appeal to participants who want to even the playing field.

Sounds clever enough.

I JUST REALIZED ANOTHER THING.

Forum and Domain deciding to DELETE SINGULARITY and MAKE a new manifestation of SMG4&3's code probably caused a lot of confusion and maybe even some chaos in Adminspace. Because no one has ever done that before! No one has DELETED the Coding and then MADE new Code!

Lil Coding was (and probably still is) probably monitored for a good while by a lot of the Higher-Ups, just to see and make sure nothing went wrong. That, and it probably put a more attention on Forum and Domain.

What if like,, the Admin who suggested the SMG/Guardian Program was also the one who made SMG-1/Domain and SMG-2/Forum, but not for any.. good reason? Because they wanted to have an influence in universes and have a way to mess with the NPCs of those universes. Just because.

Eo when their creations became so successful, even as prototypes.. they were elated. Finally! A way to meddle with universes without drawing the other Admins' eyes!

But,, he didn't account for the fact that the other Admins would decide to ascend their Guardians and make them into Admins. And now.. Guardians that they didn't create had been made, and they had no logical excuse to step in..

Well. That doesn't mean that he can't step into the lives of the Forum and Domain. In the end, those two are still his creations. Plus, they already have their memories of when they were Guardians back, and they seem.. susceptible to manipulation with unease about who they truly are.

Byte will wait to show himself, though. He can't have the other Admins knowing what he's doing.

I still think it's so funny that the Higher-Ups/Admins started out as these really cool beings, mysterious and all that, we didn't know their motive or anything.

But then we learned that they're nowhere near as competent as we thought and they're all hanging on by threads
