Sigyn had to laugh at that, the sound soft and breathy. “My dearest, the ways you know how to warm me could fill a book. Though I must admit, it’s much less fun to read about than to put into practice.”

“ It wasn’t that I didn’t take to the idea, Loki...it was just...fright, but not of the 'visions’ as you might think. It was fear of other, stupid things. I stayed and I intend to stay. I’d never abandon my children. I meant what I said, love...We are raising these boys. I would never force them to leave. ” Leaning forward, she gave a gentle smile to her ex-husband as she refilled their wine glasses. “But if they ever wanted to leave and wanted you to come with them...I would drag you with us, kicking and screaming. I may hold on too tightly...but they are my only children, Loki. What else am I to do? they hold on just as tightly. To both of us.”

“Only when dealing with men such as yourself.” To be honest, Natasha wasn’t entirely certain what had come over her. She was, normally, far more in control of her emotions and actions then what she had just displayed by slapping Loki. Even though, she knew, perfectly well, that it wouldn’t do much (if it did anything at all) to the Asgardian prince.

“See? It’s not so bad.” Thor said to his brother as their ship landed safely in midgard. The survivors had made it in one piece and the midgardian government allowed them to land and seek shelter to regroup. It truly wasn’t bad as they were brought into apartments, Thor keeping Loki by his side.

Sword inserted into the machine, Heimdall takes a deep breath before he turns it. The king is dying, Heimdall. Please, summon my son. At the queen’s words inside his mind’s eye the sword is turned, a flash of light engulfing the area around him as the Bifrost summoned the last son of Odin. Within moments the prince stood before him, and Heimdall removed the sword, attaching it to his back before he gave the younger a bow. “Your Highness. I apologize for summoning you so suddenly. The queen requests your presence.”
Amber eyes moved to meet the gaze of green as the Asgardian straightened, keeping his posture straight despite the pain in his heart. “The king is dying, Your Highness. I am to escort you to the palace at Her Majesty’s orders. Please, come with me.”
//I've just discovered there's an app on my work computer called 'Get Help'. I am slightly concerned.
Annoyance washed over her features as she approached the demigod, noticing how confident he seemed to be about their situation. He had that way with things, a way of hiding any fears and being COCKY about it. Gamora could have admired that trait if it were with any other, Loki was not someone she was about to admire. Not now or anytime soon.
“I don’t know why you’re looking so proud of yourself. You do realize the BIGGER threat, otherwise known as THANOS, is still to come, don’t you?” Gamora stepped beside him and glanced back to the others who were plotting together, none of them eager to really involve a daughter of Thanos or the trickster God in their plans. “All I need is a moment close enough to HIM and I will put a REAL stop to him. None of your silly tricks and mind games, only REAL violence will put an end to him.” She wasn’t certain why she was even speaking with the other, he mostly irritated her but it was at least a little easier than attempting anything with the HIGHLY selective Avengers.

@theadoptedprince plotted something !!
It’d been instinct - the moment he felt the weight of the staff suddenly diminish, he all but lunged towards his brother, desperate to stop his fall. It never occurred to him that he’d never stood a chance at reaching him, not without Mjolnir, not when Loki had already been out of his reach in the first place.
It was only when he felt himself falling that he realized what a terrible idea that had been.
He couldn’t save Loki, and now he, too, would fall into the great emptiness below. There was nothing that even Odin could do to stop it, not unless...
Of course, Mjolnir!
With his hammer, he might just stand a chance at flying the two of them out of there. If he could just -
And that was when he felt it - everything halting, as if the world had somehow come to a stop. For a moment, for just a fraction of a second, he thought that everything might be alright, that their father had somehow found a way to stop their fall and he’d be along shortly to bring them back to the broken Bifrost.
But then it hit him.
Pain spread out from his spine to his legs, finally hitting the back of his head with the force of... Well, of an Asgardian falling through space, he supposed. Doing his best to push through the pain, Thor tried to sit up and take a look at where he was, if Loki had made it, too, but even that slight movement made his head swim and his sight begin to blur.
‘It’s alright’, he thought to himself. ‘I’ll just rest here for a moment and then...’
Before the thought could complete itself, Thor lost his last grip on consciousness.
From there, he couldn’t quite tell what was real and what was a dream. He remembered feeble protests and limbs fruitlessly swinging as he tried his best to fight against... Something. Strange armored figures unlike anything that he’d ever seen before. And Loki! He remembered seeing Loki being dragged along with him as he got taken away by the creatures, though his brother seemed to have been passed out. Then... A cell. There was some talking, and some - sounds, he supposed. Sounds he really hoped were not real.
It felt like a long time passed before he could open his eyes again for longer than a few moments. The world seemed... Hazy, somehow. Not quite real. If it weren’t for the searing headache that greeted him the moment he woke up, Thor might have thought that this was all just a dream. But it was real. It was far, far too real.
With a small groan, he pushed himself into a sitting position, one hand moving to the side of his head as the headache intensified. Where was he? It looked like he was in some kind of cell, but this certainly was not the Asgardian dungeons. No, he very much doubted that this was even Asgard at all. But how could it be? How could he even be alive? And Loki...
Loki!
Thor jumped to his feet, eyes searching his surroundings until they landed on Loki. He’d made it. It looked like he was still unconscious, but at least he was alive. That was a good start.
After a moment of thought, he took a seat next to his brother and shook him, hoping that he was now simply asleep. If he were to be honest with himself, Thor would have to admit that this place made him uneasy, and he’d rather have his brother by his side. Besides, with any luck, Loki would know what this place was, which would make it much easier for them to find their way back home.
“Loki.” He called. “Loki, wake up.”
