Good Evening people! 🙋🏻‍♀️, Do you know what time is it? THEORY time!

(who is the real Murderer of King Jerrod)

So I remembered the intros between Rain and Shao Kahn. And also between D’vorah and Kitana. Both Shao Kahn and D’vorah claimed that they killed king Jerrod (Kitana’s Father). But Hey! isn’t Sindel herself who killed her husband for Shao Kahn? She even said so and shown in her arcade ending!

So what exactly is going on? The writers forgot that Sindel killed Jerrod. Or they only added this out of a sudden to make a plot twist? This is not a plot twist and plot twists don’t work that way 🤦🏻‍♀️

To the theories now!

Theory 1: Sindel is the real killer of King Jerrod and I suspect no one else but her, Why? Because it seems that the retconned Sindel (Twindel) hates weakness let alone her husband's weakness and incapability to protect her and Edenia. To me, this is a very convincing reason to kill him and get rid of him and throw herself into Shao Kahn's lap. I wouldn’t say theory because I think this is what happened. Sindel is a murderer and she killed her husband. And why would she lie about the murder of her husband? Wasn’t she there in his final breath or did she just lie to never lose Kitana's love and the Edenians love as well?

That’s all for the first theory!

theory 2: (Jerrod survived Sindel's stabbing him) So I played in my mind another scenario of what could’ve happened. Let's say that King Jerrod survived Sindel's betrayal. She stabbed him and left him to die in a pool of his blood. After she and Shao Kahn left to discuss their “Bond” he saw the chance and ran despite his wounds and loss of blood. He is a magic user (as shown in malibu comics) so I guess he can heal himself but D’vorah saw him and finished him? Maybe. since D’vorah claimed that she killed him. Yeah, this theory is not likely to happen ever.

Theory 3: (he survived but he got killed by Shao Kahn) same as the second theory but the murderer is Shao Kahn himself. So let's just say that king Jerrod manages to escape despite his wounds, But eventually, Shao Kahn caught him and finished him.

Yeah… the second theory and third theory is a weak theory. Never likely to happen. I strongly believe that the real murderer is Sindel herself. She is not afraid to betray but she is afraid of losing Kitana (she did already).

Names, Legends and Archetypes

Since it’s theories day, I’ll write another long-awaiting post.

So far names seem to be important/have meaning.

- Faroe - as was noted here, she’s named after the Isle of Sheep. This made me think about her role as ‘sacrificial lamb’: while she had to die, she still has an immense impact on Arthur and, thus, everything that’s goin on. The parellel with Addison only added to this impression.

- Kellin told about his name himself

- John Doe as a name speaks for itself and has so many connotations within the plot that I won’t even dig into this, there’s going to be a wall of text and this post isn’t about it. In short, I see it as a blank slate for the piece of entity to begin his journey to becoming someone of his own design. Plus, John seems to have a fixation on names.

- Someone here (forgive me I didn’t reblog and can’t find the post now) noticed Andrew Larson’s initials coincide with Arthur Lester’s - plot mirrors and parallels, we get it. I wonder if Jack Larson’s name has any meaning to it as well.

- There’s also Bella and I have a feeling it’s just the first name to hop into one’s mind to define some not-very-important female figure - she’s a woman, women are associated with beauty, let it be “Bella”. Maybe I’m wrong, it’s just a feeling.

And now we’re getting to the main star - Arthur.

First I’ll have to remind about one short episode 20 part when Kayne (who seems to be my main starting point for all the theories since he’s the only one who seems to actually know something) called Hastur “once and future king”.

This scratched my ears when I heard it because I never encountered the King in Yellow being referred this way before. This title exists, but it isn’t his.

Kayne MIGHT have been saying this just for the drama, this is always an option.

Except.

The actual “once and future king”’s name is Arthur Pendragon from british legends.

Soooooooo.

I like the idea that Lester and John form “jester” and those two are basically a Jester archetype in this story, mocking and challenging the King, being insightful and gaining wisdom, never bowing to the challenges they face, - but I get this is rather stretched. 

But I also know there are some interesting theories circulating.

For instance, I like the idea that the King in Yellow started as a human - this would explain why John’s called “Hastur’s heart” - I mean why an eldritch entity would need a “heart” in the first place? Besides, John seems to recall being human some time in his past, although this is unclear, but it ties well with the rest. Contrary to his own words, he didn’t learn everything from Arthur or their time together: e.g., it was John’s own initiative to stop by the car and go search for the child, and they’ve been together for less than a day by then. No one changes this fast, so I believe John has always had compassion in him - it’s another question of what to consider “humanity” and what not, but I guess within the podcast it would be considered as such, these words are often used there as synonims semantically.

So John may be Hastur’s human heart.

And the King might have been human some long time ago.

So there may either be timey-wimey and becoming the King is actually Arthur’s fate - time makes a full circle, seems fitting to “once and future king” title.

Or this is an indication of the rivalry, opposition of the two: the false King and the true future one, the Hero (which is another archetype and Arthur is striving to fit into it the whole series).

I like the 2nd option more, especially since the narration keeps mocking Arthur for his vanity time and again (reciting Invictus and giving up his principles a few episodes later, really now), so he’s never actually a Hero, he’s unfit for the title to begin with, but it’s exactly what makes this all interesting.

Or maybe there are other explanations (or I’m reading to much into things as usual).

Descendants 3 🍎😈 (What I would like it to be)

Guys this is the story that I would like to happen in Descendants 3

After the events in the gala of the cotillon, Ben will not feel good about everything that children live on the island. He will declare a new law in Auradon, ALL the children of the island will be able to go to study to Auradon Prep or to the other schools within the region. Mal who can not feel calm about the future of the island and the fear to face again to rival Uma. She will try to solve problems with her thanks to Ben. The villains plan a last attempt to leave thanks to Ursula manipulating Uma making him believe that Harry and his crew turned their back on him, that's where the VK's face their last challenge their parents aka The Villains of Classic Stories.

Friends and former allies (now rivals) will have to unite to give a lesson of life to their parents.

My theory about the future of The Isle of The Lost😈

For those who have read the novelization of the film I suppose that this is one of the biggest doubts that remain in the air for that the end that they have given us.

With everything that happened in the final battle of Mal and Uma, I had two very clear points. The first is that everyone already knows that Uma is a true evil girl and no one can accept that she goes to high school in Auradon. The second is that I could swear that after the final celebration they will look for Uma and obviously Mal will lead the search.

I do not know exactly how they will continue the story, most likely to take out a new book by the beginning of next year or give us a third season of the animated series.

But imagine the great commotion on the island, now all the more VK’s hate the Auradon kids more. They will feel that they now have an opportunity to take revenge for all the damage done to them by The Beast King.

On the other hand, now that Ben knows what they are living on the island, I would be surprised to see what action he takes now. Honestly, if you still believe that the pirates and the rest of VK can change after your kidnapping and the final battle. He is going to prove that he is a great king.

My biggest questions are: How will the pirates react to seeing their captain fail? 

What reaction did Harry to take see that Uma failed? 

How will Ursula take the disappearance of his daughter (who, although he does not love her, could be his ticket departure from the isle)?

What do you hope happens in the next chapter of batim?

I hope Boris isn’t who we think he is. Only because 1 what a twist, 2 it is my *theory* that most members of the studio were used to try and replicate the toons. Sammy only got as close as a replication due to being a major member of the studio. And the searchers are all that remains of the people that were not as big of a roll. BUT THATS A THEORY. (Sorry on mobile so I can’t like make the text all cool)

I definitely think Alice is going to play a roll, but I don’t think it’s major. Given what theMeatly has tweeted recently, I’m feeling her entrance into the game is more of a healer or small protection from a threat or a piece of the puzzle. But who knows?

I hope we get more people in the tapes. I think we aren’t going to see more of Norman just due to him being pretty specific to the music department. But Susie, we hopefully haven’t heard the last of her.

But honestly I’m just excited to see where theMeatly and his team take us. My number one philosophy regarding video games, books, movies, and tv shows is this: I might not like a certain aspect or like how a character was handled, but at the end of the day I’m just happy there’s more of a thing I love. And there’s plenty of fanfic and fan art of different things. It’s okay to be critical and think of a million possibilities, but however it is, that’s the original and I will love it just the same.
