Dear Akira Kurusu’s parents,

Fuck you. You are both terrible parents. Your son tried to help a woman from one of the most horrendous things that could possibly befall another human being. You did not defend him, or sympathize with him, or tell him what he did was the right thing. (But that’s another letter entirely because I have a few words about that woman and that man). Not only did you abandoned him to someone you briefly knew, but did so without telling him that you cared about him; there were no letters, phone calls, or even visits to check up on your son and his well being - for a year. You never checked up on him during the holidays, or called when you had the time, but hell I bet you didn’t do anything for him on his birthday. You casted him aside for doing the right thing. As I’ve stated before, ‘Fuck you’ both. I would rather your son stay where he is, at least they (I’m referring to the people that actually got to know your son and care for him in place of where you couldn’t due to this situation) stayed by his side and understood. I would not be surprised if Akira decided to stay with Sojiro and Futaba Sakura until he graduates highschool and move on to college. If you believe for one second that Akira would accept your sudden open arms, then you’re just as terrible as the man responsible for his criminal record that Akira did not deserve.
