I feel so bad for the people on Twitter because they've convinced themselves that it's your responsibility to educate the people you like when they fuck up. that it's your job to spoon feed them the perspectives and arguments that they grew up too sheltered to hear.

do you know how spoiled they are now? knowing that when they misstep, there will be a million marginalized teenagers ready to write a thread and link a million carrds filled with questionable sourced information. they can sit back while their fans bend over backwards for them scrambling to educate them.

you're not their mom. if they want to educate themselves and be better allies, they have to do the legwork, not you. and if they refuse to make the effort on their own, you already know they're not worth your time and energy. and do what you will with that information.
