steve is frustrated cause dustins been greiving for over a year ALONE. Steve is literally being the older brother to dustins younger brother rn. This is the only irritating one cause literally neither should be with nancy girl is doing her own thing and NEEDS TO

We forget that steves naturally has been the guy who had his life planned out: popularity, sports, and college. The lifestyle his dad had was meant for him, too. Then he's thrown into this world and also assumes the responsible and protector role because THESE ARE KIDS. His pull to nancy isn't because he likes her anymore or there's attraction/tension (he confessed feelings for robin before he knew, which means he's able to move on). He is reaching for ANYTHING that gives him the stability he was promised. Nancy represents the life he was supposed to lead, and the competition with jonathan also comes with that. Him wanting to get her flowers at the hospital (so stupid bruh like jonathan clocked him so good) was again his reach at normalcy. It is extremely difficult to grow out of things that were forced down your throat your whole life. He is also 19/20. THAT IS NOT OLD YALL HAVE U MET A 20 YEAR OLD THEYRE STUPID TOO

As someone who's been through this, jonathan is feeling his relationship with nancy slip out of his fingers. And deep down, he knows it's not because of steve flirting with her or being close with her, and it doesn't have anything to do with him either. Sometimes, this just happens, and that's harder to deal with because you can't place blame on anyone. So again, like the 19 YEAR OLD THAT HE was he decides to blame steve instead of facing the truth. And we know jonathan has always had trouble facing the harsher emotional truths because he cares so so much. That ring is him trying to save his relationship. And im not saying they'll break up or anything, but things just happen. You have periods of growing apart and then coming back together in long-term relationships. It's just life, and that's the hardest thing to accept.

Also, just because I'm pissed now ... why the fuck are people getting all bitchy at Jensen for his final comment on the "Jack being a girl" question?

Like, y'all do realize that the entire audience turned a very innocent comment he made about his daughters being "Daddy's girls" into something perverse just a few minutes before that question, and he in turn had to walk it all back because the audience is fucked up and had dirty fucking minds-- but yeah, no, get made about a fairly innocuous comment about a hypothetical question.

Of course, turning anything involving children into something sexual is not okay, but the comment he made wasn't even sexual. He just said that "Dean might have had some extra glances at him if he were a her" and yeah, that could mean an "acknowledgment of beauty" but then he immediately went on to say "but that's Dean's problem". Like, he knows and we know that his character had that sort of cave-man, wannabe ladies-man, appreciator of the finer things in life quality, but saying that Dean might have taken some extra glances at an individual who would have looked like a young adult? Yeah, not seeing that as him justifying pedophilia or anything ... so ... please ... chill the fuck out, people.

If you want to be mad, be mad at all the audience members who went "OOOOoooo" when he was talking about his own daughters and dared to use the term "Daddy".

One of those situations is indeed, supremely twisted, and it ain't the one having to do with a hypothetical question regarding a fictional character in a television show.

They’re Human

Part 1

“Shh,” Isabela hissed at her sisters as she crouched below the kitchen window.

“Why are we even doing this? Can’t we just go inside? It's our house,” Mirabel whisper-yelled.

Daniela huffed, “Because, it’s fun.”

“But you know Mamá is up and guaranteed, she's in the kitchen. We can just go through the front door and surprise her from the doorway.” Mirabel said. She looked to Luisa for support on this but her older sister shrugged.

All four girls had been out of the house. Daniella lived on her own already and was only popping in for a surprise visit home. Isabela just got there, home from university for the weekend, and Luisa and Mirabel were coming home from friends’ houses after some much-needed girl time. They’d coordinated it so they’d all be home at once to surprise, and scare, their parents. One of their favorite things to do was scare their parents, especially their papà, sweet Agustín never saw it coming. Julieta was more in tune and harder to get, but every once in a while when they planned it correctly, they could get her good.

Isabela rolled her eyes and peeked through the window, her eyes wide as she gasped, “Oh my God!”

“What? Is she not there?” Daniela asked. It was nearly nine, their mother would have to be in the kitchen by then.

“Oh, she's there, alright. She's wearing one of Papí’s dress shirts is the problem.” Isabela said looking back at them with wide eyes.

“What?”

“No way!”

“Why?”

“See for yourself,” Isabela said, moving out of the way. Needing to see it to believe it, the remaining three spied on their mother, and sure enough, she stood at the counter mixing something, only in their father’s shirt.

Mirabel sat in the dirt, “I regret looking… Do you think she just… grabbed something quick? Maybe she wasn’t paying attention…”

“Mirabel, she isn’t wearing any pants or a skirt,” Daniela said, “I don’t think it was an accident.” They hardly ever saw their mother in a bathing suit, never mind standing in the kitchen half-dressed. “Do you know what this means?” the oldest of them asked.

“Don’t say it,” Luisa blocked her ears.

Daniela smirked, “Mamá and Papí still do it,” she loved torturing her hermanitas.

“Dani, stop, por favor,” Mirabel begged.

“At least they waited until we were all out of the house,” Isabela said.

“But now we need to wait until she at least goes back upstairs and we just make ourselves known. I don’t want to embarrass her.” Luisa suggested.

They all nodded in agreement. Isabela moved to look in the window again, “I’ll watch to see when she- Ay Dios mio…” she trailed off.

“What now?” Daniela asked.

“Papí isn’t wearing a shirt and is only wearing pajama bottoms…” she relayed what she was seeing. Agustín had just walked into the kitchen, leaning on the doorframe, watching his wife. The look on his face was suggestion enough to what he was thinking. “I didn’t know he was jacked. Who are these people?”

“Stop it, Isa,” Daniela said, “They’re human beings.” She’d come to realize that yes, parents do it. And yes, you will be uncomfortable with the thought. Every. Time. Her sisters had yet to figure that out.

“Oh God, the way he just looked her up and down-” Isabela lowered herself to sit on the ground, “I think I’m going to be sick,” she covered her mouth.

Daniela rolled her eyes again, “You’re so dramatic. Luisa, you look to see when they go upstairs.”

Luisa put a hand over her heart, her eyes wide as saucers, “Me? No way! I don’t wanna see that! Make Mirabel do it!”

“Hell no! Daniela is the oldest, she should do it!” Mirabel said, pointing a finger at her oldest sister.

“Fine, I’ll look.” Daniela peeked in one more time and moved back down. “Well… They’re cozy in there…”

Since Isabela had looked, Agustín walked up behind his wife, expertly snaked his arms around her waist, and whispered in her ear. She giggled and turned to kiss him, leaning into his warmth, momentarily forgetting the bowl of whatever she’d been mixing before going back to it.

“What’s that even supposed to mean?” Mirabel was frustrated by all of this.

Daniela shook her head, “Don’t worry about it… maybe they’ll go upstairs now.” she peeked again. “Okay, no eating off of the counter anymore.”

This time it was Luisa’s turn to grumble with her face in her hands, “Oh Dios.”

With expert familiarity, Agustín had easily lifted his wife onto the counter, everything that was once there, was now shoved aside. They kissed passionately, nipping at each other’s lips while their hands explored one another’s bodies for the millionth time in over thirty years of marriage.

“Maybe we should just leave and come back later?” Isabela suggested.

“Yeah, Pa’s shirt is now on the floor,” Daniela said moving back down with such speed.

Mirabel quirked an eyebrow, “You said he wasn’t wearing a shirt.”

“He wasn’t,” Daniela said rubbing her eyes, willing the image now burned into her corneas away.

Isabela’s eyebrows furrowed, “Then wha- Ay Dios mio…” Julieta had been wearing one of her husband’s shirts. “Daniela, you poor thing,” she put a gentle hand on her sister’s shoulder.

“It's fine, I’ll just wash my eyes with bleach or something later. Come on, they’re not going upstairs anytime soon.” Daniela lead the way out of the bushes and they tiptoed back to her car. Not like their parents would hear them with how ‘busy’ they were.
