MBTI Expectation vs. Reality
Expectation:
Feeling type: Is always crying for nothing and everything.
Thinking type: cold robot that can't feel any emotions and is mean.
Reality:
Feeling type: "Don't hurt the potato chip! It has a SOULLLLL!!!!"
Thinking type: "it's a fuCKING POTATO CHIP?!?!?!"

Support in relationships
One thing some feeling types don't get about thinking types is that when we offer support for someone having a problem, it probably won't be emotional support. I've had friends ask me for support for the same problems over and over again and I've been confused as I have helped them (by offering solutions) but I just didn't realise that they weren't looking for that, they were looking for emotional help. So just a friendly reminder to everyone that if someone keeps bringing up the same problems to you over and over again, maybe changing your approach in support will benefit your relationship... But also, for those who constantly complain that someone is not offering them "proper" support, it may be better to actually tell them that when you complain you may want a specific type of support or even a mixture of the two.
When people ask me if I'm sure about being an ENTP because I seem "too kind". Yeah, you really understand MBTI. *slow clap*
Can you elaborate a bit more on how high Te and high Ti work? Like I understood Te is objective and focused on the environment and Ti is more analytical but how can it look like in real life? I'm a ENFJ and I have a hard time understanding this. Thanks.
First of all, letās discuss a problem many people, especially feeling types, have when thinking about high thinking functions.Thinking types, both Te and Ti, do not work like robots. Just like feelers they are influences by their emotions, just the way the handle them and make decisions is a different one. Thinking functions can appear in very different ways on the outside. Many feeling types do have a hard time comprehending them at first. And MBTI newbies often mistake the more impersonal approach of Ti and Te as being less affected by emotions or even not thinking about emotional issues and only ever focusing on hard science and calculations. This is not true. Itās also important to remember that every thinking type still has a feeling function in their stack that will influence them in one way or the other. So.. what are high Ti and high Te about?High Te:
High Te is focused on the outside. Itās a natural organizer, trying to solve problems in their environment and it easily sees what has to be done to get a certain result. Itās quick at finding solutions and the best outcome. Therefore, most high Te users naturally aim to be successfull and like to have clear goals they focus on.Since Te is extraverted, it will make decisions based on results and facts: āIf I do A, I will get B. So I will do Aā. It seeks evidence and likes to have a proof of something in order to believe it. Something that can be seen wihtin the world outside, not only within their head.Since Te is so outwardly focused, high Te users will often feel the need to not only organize themselves but also the life of the people around them, mostly of those people who are important to them. This is also influenced by their lower Fi that creates values and personal priorities, less conscious than within a high Fi user, though.Other than high Fi users, high Te users have a less personal approach, though. They tend to be more generalizing and forget that each person is and works individual. That their hard logic cannot be applied to everyone in the same way and not in every situation. For example: they may want to help a person close to them get a job to make money and be successfull but forget to think about whether the person actually is happy with this job and if they value this kind of success in life.Or they have trouble understanding why someone is upset when on the outside, there is no point in it because nothing is wrong.
High Te users usually are more aware of their own emotions than high Ti users because Fi, even if it is in a low position, is more self-aware than Fe that is focused on the feelings around them. However, high Te users often will put aside their feelings if they think something else has to be done. When they notice something truly bothers them, they will use Te to eliminate the problem and if it doesnāt work because the problem is more emotional, they will withdraw themselves for a while and try to solve the emotional issue on their own. They may feel weak and lose confidence and become more quiet and question themselves.High Ti:High Ti is focused on a personās internal understanding of a situation. Since itās subjective, it works different for each user and because of that, like every introverted function it is a lot harder to explain and comprehend than its extroverted counterpart.Yet Ti alway consists of the principles and internal set of rules each user sets for themself and that are applied, modified, newly developed and renewed in every situation. High Ti doesnāt care much for cause and effect and the hard logic that Te likes to work with. It has its own understanding and reasoning that it judges every situation with.Ti naturally seeks for a deeper understanding of everything. Itās analytical and therefore Ti users want to gain more and more in-depth knowledge. They often like to feel competent and be experts in their field of interest. Since Ti is introverted, it will make decisions based on their personal reasoning and the results of their analysis: āBased on my understanding, A is like this whereas B is like this. It would make sense to combine both to get C, as it unites all their attributes in a way that I think is logical.āSo like Te it does focus on the outcome and they may even come to similar conclusions, but in a different way.Ti rather seeks for reasons and explanations in order to believe something. Something that makes sense to them, even if there is not evidence to it on the outside. You will often find high Ti users coming up with their own definitions of things and somehow adjusting the truth to fit in with their logic.
High Ti values its independence and therefore usually also respects the independence of the people around it. It doesnāt feel much need to organize the world and people surrounding them, thinking every individual needs to find their own way. However, they may find themselves responsible to do something in order to make others happy or to keep things peaceful within a group. This is how low Fe still affects them. But it doesnāt work for them as consciously at it will for a high Fe user.Other than high Fe users, high Ti users have a less personal yet more subjective approach. They apply their personal understanding to everything and prefer things to remain logical and neutral. But they forget that it is possible for people to take such things more personally and and that they might hurt someone by not considering what they feel. That sometimes their subjective logic is inferior to what is expected of them and what is appropriate. For example: they might really mean well and point out a mistake someone made in front of many people and not consider that the other person might feel ashamed and hurt because it has been said so directly and because everyone heard it. Or they discuss something in order to explore and exchange opinions and work on their understanding and not notice that the other person thinks of their discussion as a fight because it seems more personal to them.High Ti users often have problems dealing with their emotions. Their feeling functions is low in the stack and extraverted, it focuses on others rather than themselves. So high Ti users often donāt even notice how they feel until the subconscious emotions become to intense. Then they can be very overwhelming to the high Ti user. They may feel confused about what and why they feel that way and since Fe is outwardly focused, their emotions might be more like intense outbreaks and they might need to vent, to get comfort and be reassured that itās okay to be emotional.

ENTJ, ENTP and emotional situations
ENTJ: Help me. ENTP: What is it? ENTJ: ISFP is crying and I donāt know why and she wonāt tell me. Iāve sent her memes and tried to distract her but it wonāt help and I donāt know what to do because sheās not telling me whatās wrong. Iām a little desperate. ENTP: !!!! //I can help! I have Fe in my stack! Itās my time to shine!// !!! *takes a deep breath to respond* ENTJ: .... ..... Well, I still have a bag of chips, though. And I guess thatās a good thing. ENTP: ENTJ! *laughs* ENTJ: Iām sorry.
Thinking Type Problems #1
People think youāre actually your feeling counterpart because you show emotions once in a while
