Has anyone on here with hypothyroidism that is taking levothyroxine actually lost weight or had their symptoms get better from taking the medication? I'm starting 50 MCG of Levo and I'm so scared that I won't lose the weight I've gained from hypo.

I literally cannot imagine a life outside of illness. Without waking up every morning to take my pills on time so my body can work like it should, without having to keep myself from doing the things I want to do because I'll get dizzy and nauseated later, without having to worry about when my next appointment will be.
I don't think I know a life outside of this anymore.
First day since my surgery that I’ve felt back to my normal self with all the changes & adjustments I have felt my body go through.
internal illness
internal illnesses are very real and they don't get enough recognition or support. there's people out there with chronic illness such as fibromyalgia or even thyroid diseases (suprisingly more common than one would think). and when these people that have these chronic diseases or illnesses because others can't see the pain they're going through they dub with with a mental issue or that they're making it up. fibromyalgia has been around as long as people and many doctors still don't believe it's real. it makes me sick to my stomach to see these people with diseases and illnesses get called lazy because they can't get up out of bed on time even though they slept 8+ hours , their body is still tired and their brain is telling them they can't get up and go. or if they can't work 8 hours without a small break or if they need to eat something in between their duties. it's because their bodies are diminishing itself and their bodies are tearing their immune system apart . because you can't see it doesn't mean it's not real
Hi! My name's LeeAnn and I have graves' disease
I also have bipolar disorder, but that’s for another post.
I’m writing this post so I can connect with other people (particularly black, queer and/or women/femmes) who also have graves’ disease or another type of thyroid disease/illness. I’m just really looking for support right now and to know I am not alone.
Thank you for taking the time to read this post.

Feeling good about my hair nowadays. With my thyroid issues it shedded and was thinned out sooo badly a few years back. That was actually all of my hair in a single ratty braid.
