Here's my redesign of Tim Scam, one of my another totally spies villain crushes, and thanks for some ideas by one of my dear friends, Flea @grimescum for the outfit, the face mask idea was mine =^///^=
I hope you all will like this my brave heroes and friends =^_^= 🖤🤍❤
~No mean or unclear criticism or comments on any of my posts, especially on these ones with my artworks, drawings and doodles (whether they be traditionally on paper or digitally on MS paint or Ibispaint) that I worked hard on. Never! Ever! I worked real hard on this! I would be very gracious to respect you all if you respect me back.
We Like, Are Totally Spies
When we think about shows that will appeal to boys. Action is the easiest to relate. Something like; Ben 10, American Dragon Jake Long, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and Justice League will be on the list. It has drama, it has fights and it's cool!
However, there has been a movement in that era where specific cartoon shows aim to get girls into action. Kim Possible, Juniper Lee, My Life as a Teenage Robot, and The Winx Club are perfect examples of such shows.
There is an odd case for more girl-centric shows. Something about the need to balance femininity with action. The show needs to feel like an action that happens to have the main characters be girls. This is where today's topic comes in. We're talking about how;
- How's the Mission, Spies? -
< Totally Spies > by Vincent Chalvon-Demersay and David Michel follows three teens; Sam, Clover and Alex from Beverly Hills living a secret life being Super Spies for WOOHP (World Organization Of Human Protection) under their boss; Jerry Lewis.
Their missions involve travelling the world. Fighting mad scientists and twisted outcasts who seek to dominate the world with style and gadgets that conceal themselves as fashionable equipment.
The trio plays specific archetypes. Sam (green) is the brains, Clover (red) is the fashionista/ boy obsessive and Alex (yellow) is the athlete and occasional nerd. Despite their differences, they share several common interests such as their love for shopping and spy skills of agility, hand-to-hand combat and espionage.
Across six seasons, the girls matured from high school to university students. Confronting the daily struggles of homework, social lives and their petty arch-enemy, Mandy.
As a vibe, < Totally Spies > fully leans into the Beverly Hills lifestyle of fabulous fashion and some familiar pop culture names of that era. The show has a mix of the James Bond type of super spy world filled with dull henchmen, high-tech machines and some tacky villains.
- Time to go to Plan B! -
The episodes are condensed into their own episode. Although there have been some arcs that follow specific villains who have a bit of history with the main characters.
Tim Scam is a former agent who went rogue against WOOHP and Terrence Lewis; twin brother to Jerry and a sore thumb to WOOHP. There also reoccurring allies as well. Brittney (cyan) who joined the team as a trainee, Dean from the three-part series < Evil Promotion Much? > and Blaine a freelance agent who dated Clover.
The conflicts, if we can even call them conflicts at all have aged rather strangely. Some of the villains commit petty crimes like kidnapping celebrities due to jealousy or act extreme. Like being anti-consumerist with the solution of destroying malls.
Yet, some are still relatable to this day such as a kid villain who is mad at his father for being busy as a commentary on how parental neglect can cause warped ideas in a child. Whatever, it's a pre-teen show. Let's not look into it too deeply.
The world of Totally Spies is also interconnected with several other shows; [The Amazing Spiez] and [Martin Mystery].
< Martin Mystery > follows Martin, a paranormal investigator for the Center with Martin's step-sister, Diana Lombard and Java the Caveman. Fighting monsters, urban legends and aliens.
According to a special crossover episode. Martin's boss; M.O.M (Mystery Organization Manager) and Jerry know each other. Likewise, in Amazing Spiez; Jerry is also the boss of the Clark siblings. Lee, Marc, Megan and Tony. Sadly, these shows were short-lived and cancelled.
It does raise an interesting point. Why is Totally Spies more popular? As a guess, I think it's because the chemistry between the characters is a lot more interesting and fun.
The three girls are best of friends and while they sometimes bicker over boys, responsibilities and opinions. They will always put their friendship and mission first above all else. It feels more real, in a superficial way.
That an actual girl would have a girlfriend group this tight-knit and if they ever become a part of something bigger than them. They would do it together.
- Here We Go Again! -
Tacky villains, cute super spy girlfriends and awesome gadgets aside. The show has a few good jokes here and there. Its art style borrows a lot from Anime and its colors are groovy to the eyes.
For a show that was meant to attract girls into action. The show has also garnered a large following from boys as well. I think another secret to the success of < Totally Spies > can also be because of its approach to the subject. Like I said in my introduction.
There is an odd case for more girl-centric shows. Something about the need to balance femininity with action. The show needs to feel like an action that happens to have the main characters be girls.
This show is a girl's show. The girls are unapologetic being girly. Doing girl things like shopping, manicure, dating and going on dream vacations but with their secret life as spies. The show balances it out with good action and is still using that girly theme to add to its gadgets.
Heck, some of the gadgets are stuff that I would personally want to have. The Jet Pack backpack, The Wind Tunnel 3000 Tornado Blast Hair Dryer, Lazer lipstick and the Compowder are on my list. Especially with its costume change function.
It's a show that embraces both ends of the spectrum and allows it to show its respective strengths rather than shy away from the themes. With the announcement that this show is going to have a season 7/ soft reboot. It does look promising with several concerns.
But I am hopeful that for a beloved show such as this. The girls will have a proper return and inspire a new generation of girls (and boys) to be < Totally Spies >
Totally Spies! Poll: The World's most dangerous criminal
I imagined a special poll about Totally Spies! villains.
I chose 12 random Spies' enemies for this poll:
Tim Scam: He tried to commit an ecocide (steal the Earth's water) and to destroy the WOOHP.
Myrna Beesbottom: He brainwashed Jerry with a mind-control ring for a forced marriage for better controlling the WOOHP.
Terrence Lewis: He is Jerry's twin brother and nemesis. He wanted to turn his brother into an evil genius, to kill the Spies and to destroy the WOOHP. He is the leader of LAMOS.
Gelee: He tried to exterminate the entire human population by causing an Ice Age across the entire world.
Violet Vanderfleet: He tried to exterminate all the male humans (gendercide)
Helga Von Guggen: He created trapped clothes under a fake fashion cover for killing all her customers and made illegal experimentations on humans for produce fur coats.
Geraldine Husk: She tried to destroy the WOOHP with a criminal organization disguised into a security organization (SPI)
Brain: He tried to cause a nuclear holocaust during a Christmas day. He's described as the most brillant villain.
Vomesa: He controlled Jerry and used him as puppet for controlling the WOOHP and trying to conquer the World.
Eisenstein: He kidnapped Heads of State for replacing them with humanoid robots for turning monuments into theme park rides (but he could better control the world with this plan).
Fabu: He created Fabulizer machines for brainwashing people into his own loyal subjects. He tried to destroy the Earth so he can rule his own kingdom (Fabutopia) in space.
Cyberchac: A high-tech genius and a hacker. He tried to infiltrate the WOOHP World and caused chaos in Singapore with modified babies and materialized videogame creatures.

Comment if you have another Totally Spies! villain in suggestion.
Talk
“Ms. Lewis, by your father’s orders, we are not permitted to allow visitors anymore.”
“Dad’s retiring, and I’m going to be next in line, so I needed one more time just to see him.”
“What if he tried to hurt you? Mind-control you or create a clone of you to rep-”
“If he did, then what is the point of the prison anyway? Either he is too smart, or the security is lacking much.”
“Ms. Lewis, I know you are expected to be the next boss, but is this really necessary?”
“Jerry might be my father, but I’d known my brother for years! He adopted us both, so it’s unfair that Dad won’t let me meet him!”
“Ma’am, you know what the prisoner has done in the past, right?”
“...Yes.”
“And you know why we are tasked to guard his cell, along with other classified prisoners.”
“...”
“...So, even if we allowed you this time, he is not your brother anymore. He is just -
Tim Scam.”
----------------------------------------------------------
Zerlina sighed as she walked down the empty, dark hallway between the jail cells and the railings. Based on her observations, the woman learned she was now at the fifth level of WHOOP’s Maximum Security Prison, where only the cruelest villains resided. Yet only one was what she needed to talk to.
The guards behind Zerlina followed her, glancing occasionally at the jail cells and the prisoners who resided inside. Most of them fell asleep, while those awake were minding their businesses with “recreational” therapies. It is the best way to pass the time without the “escape” part, and hopefully, they might have time to think about their lives ahead. It worked with Marco Lumiere, who’s now happily making movies with his daughter. He’s so happy that his family is there for each other.
Speaking of family, Zerlina finally stopped at the final cell and waved the guards off, leaving her and the resident alone. Behind the strong, transparent, heavy wall in front of Zerlina is a man around her age. His tanned hands held the grip bar tightly as he pulled himself up before he jumped back on the ground. He stretched his upper body, where half of his jumpsuit was pulled down and tied around his waist, showing only his black tank top. The prisoner swiped back his short, dark brown hair, panting heavily after his nightly workout. Even if he didn’t get a glimpse of Zerlina, however, Tim Scam only sighed and initiated first.
“You really are persistent, aren’t you, Zee?” Tim crossed his arms, looking straight ahead. His dark green-brown eyes focused on the wall, but in the near corner, he spotted the mirror, which showed Zerlina’s saddened expression.
“I… I just wanted to talk, Tim.” The woman said, brushing the red sleeve of her suit jacket, “Nothing too personal or too business-warranted. It’s just… How are you right now? Everything… Alright?”
If the atmosphere weren’t so thick, Zerlina would’ve said something else, but why risk her job in a dangerous place like this? The doors are not thick-paned glasses, and any information leaked will lead to more problems.
Still, why other topics would she use with the man before her?
Tim didn’t look back; instead, he sighed, “Fine. The food’s great - nothing much. How about you?”
“Tea time with dad is… Same as usual,” Zerlina responded, “but I believe there is a scones shop that opened across from work, and I know you love the raspberry kind.”
“I'm not interested,” Tim said, pressing the palm on his hand and feeling the calloused texture and pressed muscles from the grip. I’m moving from that kind of stuff right now. It's just not my taste anymore.”
“Oh,” Disappointment filled Zerlina’s mind, “I thought you go crazy for raspberry scones, like how you used to skip class once to see the opening of Margerie’s scone bakery. I have to tell them you’re sick, but the principal almost caught you -”
“Yeah. I get it.” Tim interrupted dismissively, avoiding her gaze, “I said I’ve moved on, Zee. Enough of the memories.”
Zerlina’s eyes widened, then looked down in fear. Her fists shakingly gripped her thighs, nearly piercing the fabric and skin with the force of her nails. She wished this was their small dorm, with a half-wall blocking the middle. Her side of the room consisted of house plants, novels, and 90s posters of women's activism and sports. Tim’s side consisted of music CDs, robotic parts and blueprints, and pictures of his old comic hero. Despite the two sides having different tastes and perspectives, Zerlina loved the opening in the middle, where the wall covered half of it. No door or gate is keeping them apart from interacting casually.
Until now.
“I heard you’ve passed the field test,” Tim spoke up, getting his sister’s attention, “Word has it around that a certain agent worked down to her bone for it, and I figured what other agent than Miss All-Nighter over here.”
Zerlina looked up, but her shameful disappointment lingered at the sight of Tim near his metallic bed. A quarter view of his face appeared visible, only showcasing the corner of his eye. Standing near his bed, Tim fluffed up the pillow assigned for him, making sure it was as clean and puffy for his head to rest on.
“Y-yeah!” Zerlina tried to keep a smile, but a part of her genuinely felt warm after Tim knew who took that test. Jerry always kept his children under covers, from protecting their identities to forging specific files to cut connections. If his brother – hell, even his sister – figured out Tim Scam is his adopted son, who knows what direction this would lead? Zerlina didn’t even know she had an uncle, aunt, or mother until Jerry introduced her to Mrs. Lewis.
She felt Tim was the only person she could talk to because she’d been with him forever since they’d been discovered at that Orphanage and after Jerry adopted them both as kids and young agents.
“Besides, it’s funny to imagine you as a living, walking zombie who needed another cup instead of brains. Heck, you could’ve been in a horror movie!”
Tim’s light chuckle and mocking tone faltered Zerlina’s joy, but she stayed relevantly optimistic. Crossing her legs, the woman rolled her eyes playfully, “Oh, and how about you, Mr. Gothic? If you stayed dying your hair black, the agents would’ve drawn piercings on your criminal records and called you out!”
“Bad boys will always be bad boys,” Tim responded, moving to face his bed and showing Zerlina his side view. At a glance, his lips had a slight stretch, rising to a small smile with a dimple on the side. Yet, Tim’s eyes remained on the bed as if he were deciding whether to move on and sleep or stay talking. Both sounded reasonable, but the sound of the conversation felt nostalgic.
“Alright, Mr. Bad Boy - What’s next on your list of crimes? Jaywalking? Vandalizing WOOHP? Or -” Zerlina stopped herself, catching up before her mouth could say one more.
Even if she didn’t finish, Tim knew what was coming next. The joy and nostalgia shrank down to a molecule level.
And silence only grew more.
The wall closed in faster.
“...Manny told me you’ve been checking on Minnie.”
Zerlina nodded, letting out a slight hum before replying, “And I’d heard you two were hanging out recently. Nice that you two were able to catch up after all this time.”
“Yeah… How is Minnie?”
“She’s doing fine. Bea’s just watching her now, but I tried to make time and catch up with them… Just… Not right now…”
Zerlina stayed still, sitting in the flickering light from Tim’s prison cell. His shadow covered her whole.
She noticed the direction of his shoes facing her, but she refused to look at his face. Not because of betrayal or anger.
But her feelings would’ve hurt more if she turned her head up.
“Good luck with your promotion, boss.”
“Thanks, Tim… Good night.”
----------------------------------------------------------
Zerlina sat on her chair, checking the recent files from the accomplished missions. Once more, the three girls have stopped another villain’s mischief, and they’re out with Toby to have victory drinks. Alex tried to invite Zerlina in, but the woman denied it, saying that she just had to finish the final files before the day was done.
She only lied. She had only a small moment with the mission files before opening an old one. It showcased old folders from the 90s titled “Agent-T-And-Z.”
With a small click of one of the folders, Zerlina’s eyes almost teared up at her young self, smiling happily next to a teenage boy with black, wolf-cut hair and piercings on his ears and eyebrow.
Her clicker lingered on the red X at the top right, but after much hesitation, Zerlina withdrew the mouse.
----------------------------------------------------------
Just a theory but what if Tim Scam is Jerry's adopted son and he and Zerlina were adoptive siblings?
Profiles in Villainy
Tim Scam
A former top operative of the World Organization Of Human Protection (or WOOHP), Tim Scam left the agency because he felt it did not fully appreciate his genius and vision. Since then, Scam has endeavored on multiple schemes to undermine WOOHP and get rich in the process. A master of crafting diabolical weapons, Scam has devised such machinations as a hypnotizing sunscreen and a heat ray capable of evaporating the world’s oceans (useful!).
As devious and calculating as he is intelligent and charming, Scam’s various plots have put him into recurrent conflict with the young WOOHP spies, Sam, Clover and Alex. Following early defeats at the hands of the Totally Spies agents, Scam would go on to become an operative of LAMOS (or the League Aiming to Menace and Overthrow Spies).
Despite his being a complete scoundrel, Samantha has maintained something of a crush on him. This has been a matter that the unscrupulous villain has used to his advantage (creep!).
Actors Michael Gough and Robert Tinkler provided the voice for Tim Scam. The duplicitous cad first appeared in the second episode of Totally Spies, airing on November 4th, 2001.
i wanna blog about totally spies more. i LOVE that show. it's a pity that, at least in my opinion, the later series villains weren't as...formiddable? they weren't as deadly as before, they were goofy. and don't get me wrong, there were plenty of goofy totally spies villains, but the older ones could kill you. like helga von googen? that crazy bitch was turning people into animals for the sake of SKINNING THEM FOR HER FUR LINE. then made clothes that choke the life out of you. also troad definitely died in that episode.
also, i was thinking on who my favourite villains were, and it's definitely jazz hands, second to sebastian and his sick electric guitar theme tune. third being the iconic tim scam. but number 1 has to be jazz hands. his voice actor is. so. FUNNY. and i have such a newfound appreciation for clover, i never disliked her but she is so much funnier than i remember.
