As always, lunges are a must. Yep.
Played four matches: Went 0-5 against coach (I held up pretty well in the first and last serve!), 7-8 against the best girl in class (We were both doing really well. If we had more time, I would have loved to see who would have won. We were so close and time was called when we were 7-7 and we had to play one last one to figure out who went forwards.), 11-8 (I did better than the score says - I just really need to learn how to serve better), and 11-6 (again, that serve...).
FIRST DAY OF FALL BALL LACROSSE!
Timed mile on the trail course! 7:19!
7 seconds slower than my mile during the last week in January (sad) but this course isn't completely smooth and is packed down dirt, which makes it harder, and there are a few small hills. There's also a downhill at the end, though... In January we ran eight laps on the indoor track so I take this as a win, even if I am a bit disappointed because I should be faster than I was what day in January (especially since I did that with so few runs beforehand)!
(Also, at the end I took a second or two to kick a soccer ball off of the trail. That was more for the fun of it but hey, whatever.)
I'd like to say that we were constantly in motion but we weren't. There was a lot of motion but there was also a lot of standing around, teaching about the stretches, shooting on goal, etc.
We did run to and from the mile (plus the mile itself) and we played 4 v 4 a bit.
(I only ran into the goalie once and slipped twice!)
20 squats just bar bell (45lbs)
10 squats +35lbs (115lbs)
(Squatted more than my body weight!)
~15 walking lunges each leg with dumbbells (17.5lbs, 15lbs, 12lbs)
10 backwards lunges each leg with dumbbells (17.5lbs, 15lbs, 12lbs)
