Timed Mile
I ran my timed mile (1.61km) today, and I finished in 9:41. This is not terrible, though the fact that I had to stop to walk twice in ten minutes is a little embarrassing. What's even more embarrassing is that after running one mile, I was exhausted and didn't do any other working out (admittedly I did cycle to the gym and home, so probably 5-6km total). But that's what it's all about: I don't want to be this unfit anymore. I want to be exhausted after an hour at the gym, not ten minutes! I don't care what my time per mile is at the end of this, as long as it's a little faster than 9:41 and I can actually do something else after running a mile.

Allrecipes.com is easily one of the best recipe sites online.. but sifting through a million recipes to find yummy & healthy recipes can be hard. The healthy section has a lot of lol-worthy “healthy” options (cinnamon sugar pork rinds? are you serious? in the healthy section? ok.) & There’s a ton of great healthy recipes buried in other sections around the site. Here’s a list of some worth looking at!
PS - when you change the number of servings, it automatically scales the ingredients down for you!

I think this are the most relevant things to do before running. Really, it sucks to have uncomfortable underwear getting in your booty, having your lips chapped/dry, wanting to go to the bathroom… having a pain, etc. These are some of the things, and they are optional really, but there are more! What things do you do before running? Some runners use vaseline but I don’t know a lot about that really.
