I am beat. So this morning I woke up early for my track workout to avoid having a large gap in between my last class and the time I would be able to get onto the track. And while I am glad that I did, I am wiped the fuck out from waking up at 6am. Plus I didn’t even beat out some of the “rush” of people on the track. Even though online it says that varsity athletes have the track from 1pm-6pm every day, the entire cross country team was there working out when I showed up. A handful of other people were there doing their own thing but by the time I was done my warmup, the entire triathlon club was there to work out too, so this became stressful for me very quickly. And I was supposed to be doing 12 200s with a 2.5min break in between each but there was just so much crowding that I really didn’t have the luxury of doing the workout how I wanted to, so it turned into 200m sprint/200m jog for 10 laps, plus two laps warmup, two laps cool down, and some stretching. I made it home in plenty of time to get to my meeting at 10am, which I showed up to only to find out that our first weekly meeting isn’t until next week, so I had nowhere to be until 2pm. I made it work because I did have some stuff to do and I guess I did plenty of wandering around because 22k steps is no joke. I am shocked by how many steps I am getting in a day while living here in LA. It’s just so easy because I walk everywhere and even when I take the train I have to walk a half mile to the train from my apartment and then walk from the train to campus. Tomorrow morning’s run is short and sweet which is exactly what I need right now!!
