Still on Track!
I’m on my 3rd week of watching what I eat, counting my calories in order to make sure I have the correct calorie deficit, and trying to exercise the way I want. I’ve been using my Fitbit like crazy and it helps keep me motivated, and I find that even if I get home late from work I can just box for 30 minutes in my garage with the music cranked up loud and I enjoy seeing all my stats in green. Already lost 4 lbs in the last two weeks. Things are going pretty good. It’s nice to see progress after a month of working out like crazy and gaining fat weight (because I was overeating due to stress).
I also plan on buying this book I saw while I was at work that has some awesome meal ideas, grocery lists, and circuit workouts I can do in addition to using my punching bag and Total Gym.
Can anyone share their favorite motivational quotes or photos? I want to add something to my fitness tracker board in my gym room :)
Looks like buying a Fitbit to track my fitness at work has paid off! Still got 2 hours of my shift to go as well 😁😁😁😁
On a side note I did my good deed at work today. A girl lost her iPhone, came to me to tell me about it. I told her about find my iPhone and ended up showing it to her via my iPhone. Let her use mine to log in her details for find my iPhone. She ended up tracking it to another member of staff who found it while cleaning as was on there way to hand it in. Happy days!
Good for you! I love my Fitbit! It really helps keep me on track and it motivates me to get those extra steps or active minutes in!
Timed Mile
Today I ran a timed mile, just to see what my time would be. Back in middle school (ages ago) I would pretty consistently run a mile between 8 and 9 minutes. When I checked my time today I was at 9:11 minutes. I was pleasantly surprised. A little encouraging bump to keep my wanting to try and improve my running. There's a color run in exactly one month I'd like to do, and be able to easily run the whole 5k without pulling or walking (I have done BOTH during races before). Just wanted to share that. I'd love to get a mile time under 7 so I'll try and work on that. It's the little victories
Second day, still not too bad
Today was my second day of using My Fitness Pal for keeping track of what I'm eating. Plus I use my FitBit. I'm under calories today but mostly because when I got home from work He wanted to go out in town to get stuff so I haven't had time to eat. I worked out this morning plus I exceeded my daily goal of 10,000 steps. I've got in my mind this way to help keep me motivated by creating a fun and elaborate workout tracker in my home gym area. I picked up some stuff for it at Wal-Mart. I need physical things to keep me accountable. My mind is not that strong yet. Also trying to jewel my stress levels down but it's hard when you have to deal with everything I've got going on. I know it could always be worse, but it could always be better too.

I need things to help keep me accountable. I have a FitBit which I will start using again, but I also want to track what I’m eating. I’ve used My Fitness Pal before but I never keep it going for much longer than a week. I want to try and use the community for motivation and support. why?
I'm not hugely overweight. I'm not super skinny. I know I shouldn't look at the photoshopped magazine images of thin people and wish to have that. I practically have a degree in health, fitness, and nutrition. I know better. But I still have that craving to look like those women. I want a nice flat stomach. I don't want to have to keep buying pants in larger sizes every few months. I blame it on the dryer. I've tried but I feel defeated. I basically have my own home gym, but I'm always lacking motivation, time, or energy. I need support. I need motivation. My goal is to lose body fat. I don't care if I gain overall weight as long as it's muscle mass going up and fat mass going down. Help me on my journey! At this point I'd just like to lose 25lbs by summer. I think it's reasonable. Just looking for encouragement. I'll post my "before" info soon. I'm in bed. Skipping my first gym sesh tomorrow before I have to work extra hours. Great way to start, huh. Well, I hope this whole Tumblr thing keeps me motivated and pushing myself. I'll try to post regularly. Goodnight for now.
