Story:
Tinykit was, well, tiny at birth, the smallest kit the medicine cat had ever seen, even compared to the runts of other litters.
He was watched closely as he grew up, everyone was certain she would just keel over at any moment. That didn't change much as an apprentice, or a new warrior.
Tinytail was getting sick of the attention at this point, but decided he'd prove them all wrong. She'd get an apprentice or two, prove himself, and become deputy, maybe even leader one day!
Except...apprentices never came.
She fought hard in every battle, even "accidentally" fatally wounding a ShadowClan warrior in an ambush on ThunderClan's camp (hey, the blood felt nice running through his claws), but still. No apprentice.
So she started taking it into her own paws.
First the worst mentors, the lazy one, the one who trained with claws out, but then Froststar just appointed warriors with multiple apprentices, instead of him!
So he butchered three more, but as the last one fell, she felt something tighten in his chest.

--The real reason Froststar started appointing multiple apprentices to warriors was actually for safety, as Froststar thought there was some kind of large predator on the loose tearing their cats to shreds. That said, they still were babying Tinytail, seeing her as significantly weaker than the others. Tinytail also wouldn't have died so soon had he not been running around overexerting herself with the murders, but still would have died young.
--*Tiny is on the aroace spectrum, but may not be on the complete end (adding this myself because a ? was next to it and this is my interpretation, hope it's correct).
