Bare feet resting on Juminâs lap, you noisily chewed the popcorn resting on your stomach. Jumin glanced over at you and chuckled softly, wiping at the crumbs on your mouth.
âMore popcorn, love?â
âMm, mm!â You nodded, reaching for the box sitting on Juminâs lap. âI wanna see if I can throw it in the air and catch it!â
âAllow me.â Jumin grabbed a kernel and readied himself to throw it. âReady?â
You opened widely. âAah!!â
Jumin tossed the kernel and you jerked up, catching it in your mouth. âTen points!!â
âClap, clap, clap!â Jumin laughed, clapping his hands together like the big kid he was. âMy dear, I need to grab something from the kitchen so Iâll be back in a flash. All right?â
âSure! Could you grab me a glass of Hawaiian Punch while youâre there?â
âCertainly.â He delicately plopped your feet against the couch and inched away for you.
Wiggling your toes, you hummed softly to yourself⊠but you smelt something. Something oddly foreign. You scrunched your nose and pressed your palms into the cushion. Sniffing the air some more, you only whiffed more of the obscenely disgusting air about you.
You coughed, then gagged. âJumin?! Is anything wrong with the vents?!â
âNo, why do you ask?â
âItâŠâ you sniffed. â⊠It smells like a rat died in here!â
Jumin returned briskly, a glass of your requested Hawaiian Punch in his hand. âA rat? There are no rats here, love.â
âCome here.â You yanked Jumin to your level. âTake a big whiff.â
Jumin folded his lips and blinked quickly. âDarling?â
âDonât you smell it?â
âIt was me.â
You froze. â⊠Did you⊠did you poop yourself?â
âNo,â Jumin chuckled, shaking his head. âBut a puff of air.â
â⊠You farted?!â Shoving him away from you, you gathered your blanket to your nose.
âWhat⊠donât push me away like that -â
âThat is the most⊠atrocious smelling fartâŠ! Iâve everâŠ!!â
Jumin tilted his head. âYou smell farts on a regular basis?â
âHUSH UP!â
âDarling?â Jumin sat close to you, yanking you close to him by your ankle. âFarts are a normal part of human anatomy. We all do it. You let out a toot before we sat down together.â
You shook your head, tugging the blanket closer to you. âHow did youâŠ?! I did not! And even if I did, at least! My toots arenât obnoxiously smelly! What did you eat, anyway?!â
âA kale salad,â Jumin stated calmly, placing your feet back onto his lap. âWith quail eggs and -â
âWe have found the culprit!!â
Jumin lightly smacked the arch of your foot. âAre my toots a deal breaker for you?â
âOf course they arenât! But damn, Jumin! We gotta feed you some candles or something!â
â⊠But as a human of the male sex, I canât eat candles -â
You threw a pillow at his face, temporarily silencing him.

realised after posting itâs actually @feanorianweek and even day 2, so have some Maglor
The sun was hidden from the sea that day, the rough waves turned murky grey in a perfect mirror image of the dull clouds overhead, both divided only by an endless pale horizon. All around, the colours had disappeared from the earth and Maglor wondered, if perhaps this was what the void looked like. An endless space devoid of colour, sound and feel.Â
An endless nothingness to isolate one from oneâs own existence and drive one mad.Â
It was a far more frightening thought than any darkness or torture.Â
Is that what my brothers feel? he asked the only person still listening.Â
Does it matter? he answered his own question. He would never join them now, it had been much too long since he had failed to follow his brotherâs example and throw the Silmaril into the waves with his body still attached to it. Too many years of wandering and suffering had passed, that had made his next step and the next note of his lament as unescapable as the passing of the hours and years. He had woven the mourning resonance of the NoldolantĂ« into the music of Arda itself and himself with it.Â
Even if he did not care if he lived, he had been surviving for so long he thought he might not know how to die anymore.
The coarse sand and stones were biting into the soles of his bare feet as he walked, having long since discarded his worn through boots. Now the quiet crunch of his steps in the sand formed an imperfect metronome for his song.Â
âI fixed it.â
Curufinwë stands before him, hands outstretched and in them a little box, ticking away with the steadiness of his own heart beat.
âIt was easy, Atar did not even have to show me how. Now you must not be cross with me anymore.â
Here's to the "no"s To the "walk yourself on home"s To the keeping on my clothes To the highs without the lows To the no man can demand my body, my spirit, my love Ooh I've had enough
