im catching up on the titans show right now and i originally had my doubts with the casting for bruce, but tell me WHY from the MOMENT him and dick meet up (in s2e1 at 42 mins) why is their chemistry SO GOOD?? the way bruce smiles a little when they make eye contact while dick is still in the car, and how genuinely fondly he looks at dick, and how you can see bruce smile a little wider. also just how they both walk SO in sync through the hallway for a solid MINUTE and even later when they sit down on couches on opposite sides, they still start leaning closer towards each other. despite all this time, they are still THE dynamic duo......
ᯓ★ Curran Walters as Jason Todd | titans 2018 | titans series | dc comics | aesthetic
im genuinely so downbad for jason todd one chance😖🙏
The titans show is so fucking funny when you know DC lore. because Jason shows up in Dick's dream in a wheelchair and he's like "Bruce is off the handles, he's going to kill the joker cus the joker killed Commioner Gordan." Which is wild. Because Bruce doesn't even kill the joker after Jason. And that's objectively worse. Like unless you ship them, Bruce should care more for Jason than Gordan. So either Dick thinks Bruce is a lot quicker to snap or idk.
brenton thwaites as nightwing truther till I DIE, like that man was perfect as nightwing 🥹 I'll do anything just take me back to when I was watching titans and witnessing this beauty for the first time 🙏
The reaction of Superboy, in different media, to the revelation about who he shares DNA with:
(Yes, I know that him being a hybrid is the second version of his backstory(a retcon), not the first. And no, this isn't a competition about which version is better, don't you 🫵 start. )
Comics: He escaped from Cadmus already knowing about his relationship with Superman. He finds out about Luthor much later, when he was already living with the Kents, and has a huge crisis about it.
2010 animated series: He leaves Cadmus with help, also knowing of his connection to Superman, but is only accepted/recognized after 1 year. When he discovers he's Luthor's "son," he's still figuring himself out, so he only becomes more frustrated and confused instead of having a crisis.
Reign of Supermen movie: He never left Cadmus and practically "lived" with Lex at the beginning, which made him have a more lenient reaction to the revelation. The fact that there were other priorities (villains) at the time also helped.
Titans 2018: He also escaped on his own, but he did so so early that he barely knew anything, including who Superman and Lex were.He only discovers that he is the "son" of both of them at the same time when he is 1 day old (but he will only meet them 1 year later), and has the calmest reaction among his counterparts. Only starts having a crisis about it months later, driven by guilt/feeling of failure.
Talk about the butterfly effect.
this is my favorite scene EVER in titans, not only about jason, but why doesn't everyone talk about that??? i loved jason as robin so much and when i write for him i mostly imagine him just like that.
don't get me wrong i love dick just as much but this scene definitely needs more credit
