About The Red Hood on Titans TV
Do people not realize that killing Jason right now will not bring out the Red Hood?
He became the Red Hood because it was Joker's original allias (*according to at least some continuities*) and it was Jason way of telling the clown "fuck you i aint gonna let you win over me". It was also one of Batman's greatest mistakes, his failure to stop the previous Red Hood is what created the Joker in the 1st place, so taking on that role is reminding Bruce of his 2 greatest failures.
And when Jason died he was alone and didn't think anyone had tried to save him, he came back mentally broken and saw that people were spreading lies about how he died and saying he deserved it and he was nothing but a bad kid and a bad Robin (*despite the fact that he died trying to save what he thought was an innocent woman in danger*).
But the Jason in Titans, for 1 Bruce nor Joker isnt even involved in this so that automatically erases the Red Hood scenario, it'd be more likely to be Something related to Deathstroke and Dick Grayson. But even then, this Jason knows they tried to save him, he witnessed Dick attempt to trade his own life to save his, and how he tried to hold on to him before he fell, so if he did die, he wouldn't have died alone believing that no one cared. And its unlikely that Dick or the others would spread those kind of lies. (*even if it would be "closer to/but not actually" the truth here, seeing as in comics he was trying to save someone - whereas here he went off because he thought he needed to prove himself*).
**You would have a better chance if you went the Arkham Knight route, where he gets captured tortured and brainwashed for months.**
He also became the Hood because he saw that Batman had let Joker live and that the madman was continuing to kill 100s of innocent people and so he lost faith in Batman and his ability to protect the city. The Titans characters already intend to kill Deathstroke, and have shown that unlike the comics they aren't 100% against killing if they have no other choice. Ergo yet another reason The Red Hood storyline would not work.
Later in the series, sure maybe, but right now, this death, it would not work. So the people voting to kill him because they want the Red Hood aren't smart, cause the show would have to completely change the story and do a heck of a lot of jumping around to make it fit. Like changing Red Hood to being Deathstroke's former alias, making Dick (and Hank) out of character by having them let Deathstroke live to kill more and ect ect.
