the six of them spend the whole day facetiming or texting each other. jace and magnus facetime alec so he can settle their arguments. clary texts simon to check if he's okay. (jace texts simon to check on him too but shhh only magnus knows that). alec texts isabelle to ask for her opinion on gifts. magnus texts isabelle pictures of every outrageous outfit he sees on the show. isabelle facetimes clary or texts her pictures so she can see the view from the scottish mountains and sketch or paint it. on one memorable occasion, jace and magnus facetimed izzy while clary and alec were facetiming simon so it turned into a full blown conversation between all of them with 1/3 of the people on a lowtown manhattan thrift store, 1/3 on a brooklyn studio apartment and a 1/3 on the front porch of a farm on the scottish highlands.
