Can I request a cuddling drabble with tomo and kazuha pls 🙏
Maybe reader's had a long day dealing with crappy people and they're just tired and want to be squished by their lovers. It gets chaotic from there because they just launch themselves at them lol
..also maybe leopard hybrid reader.
On the way, right away!
Its my exam season, so Kazuha's version might take a day or two more (I will link here once I'm done). But I've already finished Tomo's. So here you go! (I hope its close to what you were asking for 🥹)

Pairing: Tomo (Kazuha's dead friend) X reader.
Sypnosis: To each day it's luck. But it seems yours decided to go on an excursion without you. So after a day of everything going wrong, you finally returned home.
Warnings: nothing. I belive Tomo is just as much of a walking green flag as Kazuha is (birds of a feather flock together, as commonly said.)

Leafs crumbled under your steps with sad crunch, the repetitiveness of the sounds picking at your past beating nerve like the finest of needles.
Wind blew against your face, fresh, smelling of upcoming rain that it carried from the Grey clouds that covered the sky in a thick layer. What an awful view.
Even more awful was the one bellow it: trees that had grown too pale to carry their foliage, shedding most of it on the grounds where they became a hazard you walked upon.
You hated it. The heaviness in the air, the uncertainty of the wind blowing, the dryness of the breeze. Autumn was the worse time of all year round.
As if the season itself wasn't enough to sour your already frail mood, it seems that the heavens had taken it upon themselves to make the worse out of everything else as well. When you went left, nothing was right, and when you went right, nothing was left.
It started with your favorite plate breaking first thing in the morning, then your teapot tumbling over without anyone even breathing next to it, sending all its burning content spilling across the carpet. The old thing was still waiting for a good scrub to get all the sugar and stains out of it. Then it was the clasp of your necklace catching on a stray thread of your top, tearing a rice grain-sized hole in it. The rest if the morning only got more and more disastrous. You stepped your own tail while simultaneously trying to lock the door and fix your shoe.
You sighed, shaking your head slightly, not even wanting to recall how the rest of the morning went. You just wanted to head back home. To head back to where all these inconveniences can't follow you.
And so, you did. Pushing the door open without your usual 'I'm back!'. Walking down the halls like a ghost that haunts it rather than a lady finally back to her safe haven. Walking past the living room without even glancing at the 2 silhouettes, your brain past the point of thinking of where the lines of proper behavior and rudeness blurred together.
You walked directly to the shared bedroom, not even bothering to shut the door behind you before falling to your knees, head against the edge of the bed.
You were tired. No. You were exhausted. Beyond what words could ever describe. The kind that didn't come from any particularly hard labor, but rather from those moment when life decides that you had personally offended it by simply breathing. You closed your eyes, trying not to go over the miserable mess you're day had been since you opened your eyes once more.
So much that you didn't feel the second presence in the room until it knelt next to you.
"Hey… Are you alright?" Tomo was crouched next to you, brows furrowed in worry as his hand made way to feel your forehead.
You didn't reply immediately, your silence leaving all room for his own uncertainty to grow. "Beloved?"
"I'll be fine…" You mumble, burying your face into the sheets a bit more, your ears twitching reatlessly.
It was his turn to fall silent, somewhat understanding. "You don't look like it." He replies, stating the obvious. "Please, would you look at me?" He gently prompts, voice softening.
You shake your head against the bed, making him smile. He lets a small endeared chuckle.
"Tomo… please. Just let it be… I'm not in the mood…" you whispered, protest muffled against the soft surface.
You felt an arm make it's way to your lower back, the other sliding under your knees. "I promise I will… let us just get you into something more comfortable to sulk in, okay?" He smiled. You didn't agree, but didn't fight his touch either. That was enough for him.
Not even a full 5 minutes later, you were as fresh as new, still unmoving in the corner of the bed.
"There… My precious." He smiles, reaching his palm to you. You looked down at it for a moment before taking it. When you did, his lips stretched into an even more charming smile, a genuine thing dusted with pink over his cheeks as he planted a soft kiss on the back of your hand.
"Lets have some tea, shall we?"
You didn't reply, not yet. Your words for the day had already been spent in the misfortunes of earlier hours. But you gave a small nod, your stormy mood slowly fading at the edges when met by the softness of his demeanor.
You pushed yourself up, only to be swayed off your feet before you could take a step forward.
"Wait- its not necessary." You protested faintly.
"Its a pleasure." He counters with the most heartwarming of smiles. That alone was enough to shut any other words you had left in you. Its not like there was much to be said when drowning in his embrace.
You quietly leaned your head against his shoulder, the frustration of the day finally melting into something easier to handle. The ends of his ponytail occasionally brushed against your forehead, whispering a tired thank you against the loose scarf tucked under his chin.
"Oh. Kazuha is over as well, if its not much trouble." He whispers against the crown of your head, one hand finding home between your shoulder blades as he carried you back to the living room.
That's how you ended up where you were, sitting between your lover's crossed legs with a cup of tea in your palms. Kazuha had greeted you with his usual smile, chuckling softly at the apology you offered for your earlier rudeness.
"No need to hold yourself to it." He had replied. "Its only normal to get one of those days every once in a while."
What came after was a long conversation between the two wanderers, talking about all and nothing. You didn't pay much attention to it, not really. But the sound of it, warm as it was, was soothing to the nerves.
You leaned against Tomo's chest, feeling his heartbeat through the layers of fabric, feeling the rise and fall of his ribcage, feeling the small shifts of his arms from the large hug you melted into to gestures as he spoke.
It wasn't much. But it was all you needed after everything that had happened.
To exist in a space that didn't demand anything other than your existence, a place that didn't mind you just being there without contributing.
And somewhere between him laughing at Kazuha's jest and a random remark about their sparring two days earlier, it all reminded you of why you had fallen for him in the first place.
Because Tomo loved generously, because he loved bravely. Because he handled you with just as much care as he could offer. You had always marveled at how he was so careful with his blade, his pride and joy as a warrior; only to realize that he handled you with even more gentleness and love than he held for it.
The realization was silly, really, but the way it came -quiet in a devastatingly mundane way- just tickled your worn heart in a way no words could ever.
It came with the way his usually animated talk had toned down in gesture and volume to not jostle you too much.
It came in the way he brought you into the room without expecting anything you couldnt give in the moment. In the way his eyes would every now and then drift down to check on your expression and the way the fingers of his left hand gently drew patterns across your gown as if they knew that they were the only anchor you had in the storm of the day.
It came in the way he wasn't ashamed or embarrassed of your misery in front of a third person. In the way you seemed to matter more than what any witness could have to say.
And it came devastatingly.
You put down your half full tea cup on the table shifting slightly against him to get closer, even closer than you already were, your tail snaking its way to circle his waist as if to return the hug. This caused him to smile faintly, angling himself to allow you a better embrace. You practically molded yourself against him as if your aim was to crawl into his chest. And even then, he only felt more endeared by it.
Not minding Kazuha's faint chuckle, the man leaned closer to whisper into your ear. "All good there?"
You nodded with a small hum. "Thanks… for everything. I really needed that." Not the comforting, not encouraging words or pity, just a safe place to exist without feeling guilty for it.
He brought a hand up to run it along your back, the other through your hair. "I'm glad to hear that." And with it he planted a small kiss on your temple, the skin there soon turning into a lovely shade of pink.
Archons… you really were gone for this man.
But then again, you didn't mind. Absolutely not in the least.
Because Tomo was home, the home you would long for every time the world become too much to live in.
