Hello, I don‘t know if you answer asks, but for research purposes I need to know each of the zel‘s opinion on the sand paper floor room, which ones would consider it as a punishment for ganondorf or other various villains for example if the zel‘s even consider torture methods. This question is very weird but trust me it’s all in the name of science
Hahahaha okay, this one’s an interesting question for sure!
I’m not sure the sandpaper room would be an effective torture method on some of the villains, to be honest. Ganon grew up in a desert. He probably knows how to deal with sand. Or he’d give himself magic/phantom armor and sleep like a baby, and then bust out when he’s ready. Yuga would just phase into the wall, Vaati can float, and Ghirahim can teleport.
But if we’re assuming that the torture would work (or assuming some other torture that does)…
Would the Zeldas consider torture?
Dawn would never. She sees the good in everyone. Actual moblins were swayed to the side of good in Zelda 1 because they took pity on her plight and couldn’t bear to see her essentially being psychologically tortured by Ganon.
Lullaby would definitely want to. The Sheikah torture rooms implied by OoT confirm that torture was present in that era, and Lullaby was trained by Impa in more than just combat. In the words of Leda: there are people Lullaby hates so much that killing them would not satisfy her. We’ll probably get to who and why in Time’s Refrain. But despite wanting to torture someone, she may not actually do it. The difference is that Lullaby is also very practical. Even if someone deserves to be tortured in her eyes, she wouldn’t do it if it would harm her reputation or if it wouldn’t benefit her in any way. She’ll go for the optimal response. Even if she wishes otherwise.
The rest of them find torture much more situational.
Artemis and Dusk might— Artemis if she hated someone enough; Dusk if it would give her answers she desperately needed. Fable prefers charm over torture: why cause pain when you can convince/manipulate them over to your side?
The rest probably wouldn’t consider it unless under really dire circumstances.
