One of the concepts I had the hardest times grappling with when I was younger was my ego, fear of loosing, not getting attention, no t being good enough, because I thought I did not deserve love. I was so afraid of not being liked, that once I found something I was good at (Basketball then Football), I did everything possible to shine, because that meant attention, which I saw as love. However, my insecurity, was also a very frail ego. If I did not get attention, I got down on myself, I became a victim, I got worse. I was alway my worst enemy, I was in the way of getting better, no one else. This meant quitting teams in as well as jobs in the United States, because the game was different, I was not number 1 anymore, and my ego could not take it. So I outworked everyone, and eventually I my body and mind broke down. I burned out, it was not sustainable. The number 1 piece of lesson of this is my relationship to self, self love, forgiveness and being okay with things taking time. Stoicism, meditation, breathwork, working out (mindfully) has helped me immensely. If you want to find out what lessons that lay beyond your performance and ego, and how to come to peace with yourself, the program ZEUS - was developed for you. #mindset #Stoicism #Stoic #trainheroic #calisthenics #gymnastics #homeworkouts #meditation #motivational #unconventionaltraining #strengthworkout #fitness #fitnessmotivation #kettlebelltechnique #kettlebellexercises #kettlebellfitness #ironaddicts #workoutoftheday #kettlebellkings #instafit #workouttips #fitnesstips #fitnessaddicted #liftingweights #outdoorworkout #functionalstrength #functionaltraining #discipline #functionalfitness #workoutmotivation https://www.instagram.com/p/CSsVDcCFDOA/?utm_medium=tumblr
