Things a canon trans!Jake Peralta storyline could possibly include
•Since Gina knew Jake pre transition, when he came out she was the first person to support him and she would beat up anyone who bullied him. She got detention a lot.
•Since Rosa & Jake became friends in police academy, Jake eventually came out to her after the other cops in training wouldn’t leave him alone, after he told Rosa that, she threatened said cops and they never bothered Jake again.
•When Jake came out to Charles, he was worried that Charles wouldn’t think he was awesome anymore. He was wrong. Charles still adores him and thinks he’s the best man to ever exist.
•When Jake came out to Amy, she was 100% supportive (duh!) and she understood everything because she had already read 2 books about trans people. The next day she comes in bragging about her “wild night” of reading 3 more trans books.
•The way they organically have Jake be inspired to all of a sudden come out after all this time of working for b99 is a case involving a trans person really getting to Jake.
•”Cool cool cool I’m trans cool cool cool.”
•When Captain Holt calls Jake ‘son’, Jake tries to keep his cool, but his watery eyes are obvious to everyone.
•When Jake came out to Terry, Terry helps him get his dead name removed from all documents, even really old ones. Jake had attempted to do it before, but it was a long process, too much to do all by himself. With Terry’s help, he’s able to get his dead name off of everything.
