adds a whole new layer to petunia angst,,,petunia thinks lily is a freak for suddenly a lot more reasons than just her magic

^^ i’ve talked about this before but to rehash,,,james starts pursuing lily when both of them are pretransition and then they get close when they realise they’re both trans because they have something to talk about together,,,they become friends before they become lovers because they have sm shared experience

on this same sort of tangent i think t4t lilylene is one of the best things on this earth,,.,transmasc marlene transfem lily obviously

marlene does stupid things like hold open doors and call lily my fair lady and it gives both of them a nice sort of whimsical euphoria

i think lily probably has a bit of trouble coming out at the start because she’s so used to feeling like an outcast to begin with??

like if petunia already thought she was an awful freak pretransition what will everybody think now yk

nobody minds in the end but it takes a good bit of getting over first

she finds her comfort article of clothing is like really long skirts!! the ones that hit sbout ankle length and are made of linen or cottony soft fabric

they twirl and look cool and are also surprisingly easy to move in

shes quite a practical person so uncomfortable clothing is usually a dealbreaker

lily also finds out about the vast range of perfumes and colognes and body sprays that shops sell through sirius, but she doesn’t really like them that much

theyre very cloying and usually quite overpowering which leads to her getting really into nice scented shower products i stead

like frangipani body lotion. or lemony shampoo

anyway yeah i hope that was alright!! i love her

So Reg carries James' egg that is James and Lily's genes and so that's their way of including all three of them in making little Harry

Finding Lily

Happy Pride Month! I’ve been working on this fic for about nine months, and I’m so excited to share it with you. I wrote this for the Marauders Pride Zine, which has a theme of trans characters and headcanons this year. The crack's in Lily's and Petunia's relationship started when Lily was about 8 and realized she was a trans girl. She was so afraid and so excited for Hogwarts and what they'd think, but when the nice witch showed up to explain to her parents about her powers, she felt so respected and seen. Down the road, being trans is what would cause her to become friends with Remus and eventually grow to love Sirius, Peter, and James as well, who were also supportive and accepting.

Ahhhh <3 

Part of her passion for potions involves her researching transition magic! :D

good luck with that 😔😔 godspeed... NB4NB JILY YES i can't tell if you mean a whole hc post by this so i'm just going to give you baseline thoughts because ive just started a goth lily jily moodboard

yes i've made another tiny post on t4t jily here and also one transfem lily one that briefly mentions t4t jily here !! no pressure to read those obviously i just think this is such an interesting concept because it could go a couple ways - like transfem nonbinary lily and transmasc nonbinary james vs transmasc nonbinary lily and transfem james vs transmasc4transmasc or transfem4transfem !! fem leaning james and masc leaning lily or the other way round...jily where they both swap up styles on the daily and share skirts and blazers and jeans....jily where lily chops all their hair off in fifth year and james only falls more in love with them. jily where james's hair slowly grows out to brush their shoulders in thick curls and sirius has to teach them a curly hair routine. so many thought i <3 nb4nb jily

Hi. First let me begin by saying that your blog is actual perfection! I have never been so obsessed with a blog as I am with yours and check it every single morning for updates (there isnt a single post on this blog that i havent read). I have a fic request which is kinda an unusal one. Do you know of any fics which has trans!Lily? It could be any pairing, either Wolfstar or Jily, I just want to read a fic which has a gorgeous transwoman Lily Evans :)

First off, thank you for your message because it literally made me squeal and want to do a happy dance because omigod you’re too nice and I can’t deal??

Second, I have read a couple of fics with trans!Lily (both transmale and transfemale, and both types are included here), but even after doing tons of searches I couldn’t turn up any beyond those. So if anyone knows of any more like this or if there are any interested writers out there, let me know!
