Alright, maybe nobody's made this but I'm looking for an app.
You know how idle games all have like... progress bars. I want an app (or computer program, but app ideally) where I can customize progress bars to meet my own goals.
Like for example if I remember to take my shots each week I can track that, and have cute little benchmark upgrades like 'ohh you took your weekly shot for 8 weeks in a row, good job'.
I've tried Habitica and really just don't like how they lay it out. I am a total visual person, so visual progress (like the progress bars) is a must for this to actually work well for me. There's also currency and little things you can buy and that just seems unnecessary.
Please boost and interact, I need this in my life!
Some affirmations for alters with sources who have done terrible things
(I admit, this is simply what helps me. However, I thought I would share in case they can help anyone else ✩💖)
Your views are not dictated by your source
You are not a horrible person, even if your source was one
You know what you stand for. Your source being opposed to this doesn't make you secretly the same against your knowledge
You are different from your source
You get to choose who you want to be
People pointing out what your source has done isn't an attack on you. It's not about you as a person.
You formed for a reason. Likely, it's unrelated to the actions your source has done, but even if it was, that's not your fault. It's how your brain copes. You're here for a reason, and that in itself is a good thing.
You are good. Even if you aren't a perfect person, even if you aren't the kindest, you are good.
Please, be kind to yourselves 💕. I find what's helped for me is to distance myself from my source. While I'm still attached to my source, pseudomemories included... I recognize my source isn't me, and doesn't align with who I am.
My source (as a whole, not just the character I am an introject of), is heavily flawed, and I find it genuinely uncomfortable to engage with it. However, I'm certain that's not the case for everyone.
If you're comfortable with it, engaging with your source as an outsider, at least for us, can help us identify and realize that we aren't our source. We may remember things, and still be connected to our source... But we're our own beings. No amount of horrors and actions committed in source can change that.
You are your own being 💖

Psychology course video transcript: This capacity for internal modification makes the brain one of the most dynamic systems on the planet. Me: ...Well this one sure is a system.
hot take: if you treat persecutors like bad people, i’m gonna assume you’re a bad person.
Dissociating at work is just so much fun.
Like "what did you want again, sir?" and "where was i going?" for the millionth time today.
