Has anybody written a fic where Thomas treats Remus the way that Eddie Brock treats Venom when they first meet?
Remus starts off as this super scary inner voice that Thomas views as dangerous before he starts to understand him a lot better and is able to "tame" him into something chill and somewhat manageable? As manageable as intrusive thoughts ever get, anyway.
Maybe not a literal one-to-one recreation of the movie Venom, but it's more like Remus goes from growling, "murder your bro" in Thomas' ear at night to him urgently going "THOMAS. Fuck. We NEEEEED mozzarella sticks, NOW NOW NOW NOW" at 3am in the middle of editing a video.
Queue Thomas eventually learning that Remus encompasses more than just intrusive thoughts, he's also passing innocuous impulses like food cravings and random bursts of energy like a cat with zoomies.
He gets woken up so many nights in a row by Remus poking him in the stomach and begging him for taco bell.
And you know what. Sometimes, Thomas says 'fuck it' and gives in to cravings on occasion. Because sometimes you just have to treat yourself, and Janus is absolutely a proponent of this within reason.
He and Remus celebrate together one evening, as they giggle and conspire over some junk food they both nudged Thomas into getting, Remus is holding Janus' hand and deliriously proud of himself for finally convincing Thomas of something.
It's funny, seeing Janus of all sides eating a greasy fast food burger in his fancy attire, but it's been a while since Thomas has indulged in this particular food chain, probably not since their shared early twenties when the dark sides were carefully contained secrets, not yet revealed to Thomas and so very invisible in their contributions.
So Remus and Janus spend the rest of that blury glorious evening reminiscing, celebrating their tentative acceptances and licking the grease from their fingertips while they snicker like teenagers at Logan's passing disapproving glare. Remus has the pleasure of seeing Janus gloveless for the first time in a long time as he eats, and it's a sight he treasures even more than the victory of swaying Thomas' decision, if only for a night.
